Trying to understand specialist registration in Australia. If I get Specialist Registration with conditions throught the expedited pathway, how long does the registration last for before I have to move to Australia and get a job offer?
For context : No imminent plans of moving but family is in Australia so want to keep options open.

Hi everyone. I am a new Anaesthesia consultant in UK, looking to move to Australia. I am starting to apply for the expedited specialist pathway and had a few queries regarding it.
For context: Husband is Australian and looking to move mainly for family reasons but it should also make financial sense. Need to be in Melbourne or Sydney for husbands job as he's not in Medicine.
If anyone has gone through it, I would appreciate some insight.
Currently at ECFMG verification bit. How long does the expedited pathway take to achieve specialist registration with conditions?
If I dont take a job in Australia immediately after specialist registration, do I lose the registration?
Does the private practice moratorium clock start as soon as you get specialist registration or does it start once you start working in Australia? It sort of makes financial sense for us only if I can do private.
