PSA: Tip Regarding Night Domain
This is just a quick little tip for those of you who want to maximize earnings in Enigma of the Labyrinth.
Do not fear the dog. Rather, welcome it with open arms. No joke.
If you've run EotL a few times, you'll notice that there's a 3-4 minute respawn timer in between Ulidim spawns that's based on current earnings. This fact is important.
Night Domain will trigger if the Cacophony gauge meter reaches 3 bars. This will usually happen when the remaining timer goes down to 5 minutes (10 minutes on High Risk and will immediately trigger as soon as Ulidim spawns.
When Night Domain is active, Cacophony corruption becomes faster the longer you linger in the current extraction run. Even moreso if you've just finished putting the fucking dog in their place (killed Ulidim in its domain). At that point you're given a choice: continue exploring or cashing out.
The biggest way to maximize profit in either mode is to not trigger Night Domain to begin with. Why? Reread point #4.
So. How do you do this then? Well, its quite simple. Once the Cacophony meter maxes out, actively seek out for phantom Ulidims in Cacophony soundscapes and force it to materialize. Then chase it off each time. This would be easier to do if you've just driven off Ulidim at around 11.30m to right before 10.30m, or just in the cusp of Lv3 Cacophony meter.
Doing this repeatedly every 2-3 minutes of exploration timer during Lv3 Cacophony meter allows you to prevent Ulidim from naturally spawning and preventing Night Domain from triggering... well, not totally but delaying it as much as you can while you clean up the rest of the map and exiting through Final Battle.
This is for Proxies who are confident in their dodge/block chops. The averagely-skilled Proxy can attempt this method by stocking up on Thracians to quickly deplete Ulidim's enhancrd Cacophony shield as fast as possible, though they will need to block the doggo's attacks at least once then using Thracian to fully deplete the shield.
