Ops Bagel Briefcases, Trashcans and Doppels Locations
Heya guys I made more maps marking briefcases, doppel and trash can locations for Golden Turd and Access Card hunting/farming. Hope this helps someone! All maps can be found here too > imgur
Anybody has any tips where to find the one I'm missing?
I extracted with 2 seconds remaining and the game broke
I'm scared to reset bc I had like 5.5 million on me and 6 reds so now I'm just sitting here in this boss arena with this awesome view. Can't turn my camera, open inventory or anything. Just me and the endless etheric sea.
Ops Bagel Treasure Map
I made 2 treasure maps for Ops Bagel by marking the Strongbox locations I find and crosschecking them through multiple runs. There might be missing some as there are routes I frequent less (like I'm sure there's an E.Box before the Billy Boss Platform) I hope someone finds it useful!
Edit: With new information from you guys I've updated the map in this imgur link : https://imgur.com/a/cTlwhvc Will keep updating as long as this thread has new relevant info lol
decided to join the void and the void answered me
So this is the "Join us and let your wildest delusions run free" 𝐔𝐡 looks pretty nice and pink.
I guess it's part of what they'll fix in the future (just hope they don't leave me here) but yeah, I lost everything I had in my inventory.
Should I send this to them?
Does anybody knows where the mini bosses that drop access cards drop in this map
Is it just me or dosn't Sigrid's Z-rank prism sounds really good in the labyrinth?
So from my understanding it gives:
40% blue shield reduction efficiency, stun duration against the hound increased by 12 SECONDS if any party member attacks it during stun! Dmg dealt against the hound increased by 30%, EX special energy cost reduced by 40 while also blocking attacks with EX special. And if she does block her attacks ignore 12% DEF for 30 seconds, and she instantly gets her special BA.
So like, this prism is essentially a true anti hound weapon. The problem I always have in the enigma labyrinth is having the hound chase me ALL THE TIME, and then I have to waste time fending it off just to continue opening chests and get items. But Sigrid's prism makes you deplete it's shield WAY faster, and I am asuming the stun works even in it's night mode or whatever it's called, so you get to explore more before it kidnapps you. And considering that for maximum efficency, you ALWAYS wanna finish your expedition off by killing the hound and get the free Z-rank valuable it drops, and you can either escape from there or continue exploring, but this prism makes you do a ton more dmg to it and you just get buffs in general.
So based on what I've read about what it does, Sigrid with her prism sounds absolutely insane, so correct me if I am wrong of course, but I think I will start to exclusivly use Sigrid in the labyrinth when I get her next week just because of how much anti Ulidim she is!
Observation Orbs
Anybody else got this event in the labyrinth? I can't seem the find the orbs i think i've looked everywhere
A Guide to earning ~5Million AVG in Operation Bagel
In this Guide I'll talk a bit how to set up your investigation Squad, how to play your general strategy and how to route on each map, so that you can get an average profit of 3 to 3.5 Million.
To prove that I actually know what I am doing here's a screenshot showing that my highest earning run is 8.5 Million and that I am Top 200 on EU server.
What Agents to use and which Equipment
The first thing to figure out is what Agents to send out into the dangerous Hollow and what equipment to use.
In my opinion, Shungus/Dialyn/Sunna are the clear winner for teams for multiple reasons. First is that Shungus is the second fastest agent after Miyabi which let's you spend less time walking and more time looting.
Second, which is also why Shungus us better than Miyabi even with less speed, is that this team will enable Shungus to be in her Ult basically 100% of the time in every fight, this makes you pretty much invulnerable to all damage, which is important when enemies on High-Risk can kill you very fast and very effortlessly. The team also deals excellent damage in a huge AOE to deal with both single enemies and Groups. On top of that Sunna can heal your team if you do get chipped.
That the Agent Gear should be Z-Rank is self explanitory. If you already spent your Season Currency on getting other ones, the priority for these three in Order is: Shungus > Dialyn >>> Sunna.
For the Blade we pick the Rush option because it 1. Reduces Cacophony Shield and 2. Gives us extra Sword uses, which is really important as I will lay out in the Strategy segment, but for now know, the Sword is very strong and we want to use it as much as possible.
For tactical Equipment we use Scorched Horizon and Primordial Nightmare to deal with annoying fights and also very importantly, to kill Ulidim in roughly 1 minute once we enter his Arena. This is because Ulidim has a LOT of HP and these beauties deal % damage so we don't care about the actual HP. By spamming both Ulidim can be killed quite effortlessly in about 1 minute.
We take Thracian with us to one-shot Ulidim once he appears to hunt us in the overworld while he's not in Nightmare Mode yet. When we use Thracian will be discussed in more detail later.
We also take Golden Bangboo with us to cut down on Looting Time in a few critical spots, which ones exactly these are will also be covered later.
In the inventory we also put some S-Rank Healing and Repair to deal with Corruption. You will get enough A-Rank Healing from drops to cover for Mistakes during Play in combination with Sunna Ultimate.
General Strategy
Our General strategy will be to play runs on High-Risk with 1.5 Million Investment. Higher Investment will achieve higher scores, however the ROI will usually be lower, at least I have personally found 1.5 to be the sweetspot.
If we have Keycards we also take these with us, otherwise we stick to the Equipment as laid out above.
For general strategy that will hold true regardless of Map, there are a few things to take into consideration. First is, that we want to start EVERY fight with sword skill. It deals insane amounts of damage once fully upgraded and not using it loses a lot of time we will need for looting.
Once Ulidim spawns, ignore him and travel to your next spot on your route and fight whatever is there. Ulidim will catch up, and once he does use Thracian to one-shot Ulidim and also do damage to whatever you are fighting, this let's us compress time of what we are doing by a lot.
For targets to fight, generally don't fight any roaming bosses. We only want to fight those that are actually preventing us from looting high value stashes.
For what stashes we want to target, it's Electric Boxes, Safes, and Gear Boxes. We ignore all other containers 100% of the time.
If we are at a Location with 3 or preferably 4 Lootables (which in this case includes Boss Drops) we want to use Golden Bangoo to deal with them. There are specific locations on both maps that have a higher likelyhood of providing these and I'll point them out in the Routing Section.
For Map selection, both are honestly fine and will average roughly the same amount. I do think that Janus is more forgiving for bad play though and is more consistent. Suburbs can low roll a lot especially if you get a bad spawn and so does the exit boss portal, but it can also high roll a lot more due to the RNG.
Shopping in Janus Illusion
Janus Illusion is divided in three Main Areas: Sixth Street, Construction Site and Lumina Central. We can traverse between the three using the metro, which we will also use to do so most of the time. I will cover each of these sperately. For the order in which we clear them, we want to start with Sixth Street or Construction, and always clear Lumina Central last.
Areas will be color coded on what they are, blue areas are big maybes, red are gear chests and gold are our money spots.
Sixth Street is pretty easy to Route, regardless of if you spawn there or if you get there via Metro. We first check the W-Engine store, as it has a pretty good chance of spawning an Electronic Lock Box, then we go into the upper floor of the station, loot the Gear Chest and then take the northern Railing to get to the North section.
There we go to the area circled in Yellow, it will usually have 1 or 2 Electirc Lock Boxes and a Boss Fight. From there we go south and first take a turn left to fight pulchra and loot the box she protects. We than turn around and open the gear chest. We run past our Store and fight the enemies there if there's an electronic Lockbox.
On the courtyard we fight for the Electronic Lockboxes present there. It's also usually a good spot to Rip one of your Golden Bangboos if you got 2 Boxes to spawn. Once we are done we always take the railing towards Construction Site, either because we want to clear the construction site or to take the metro to Lumina Central.
If you get to Sixth Street from Construction site we play it in exactly reverse direction.
The Construction Site varies a lot in it's value compared to the other two regions and also takes pretty long to cover and is also the worse spawn. In what order you do everything depens on if you spawn here or if you go here organically, I will cover the case you spawn here and also briefly mention how to go about it if you travel here from Sixth Street/Metro.
When we spawn in we spring straight ahead into the building and take a left to check the region in the very south marked in blue. This can spawn between 0 to 2 Electric Boxes in my experience, if there none just leave and go back to the elevator and go up.
On the upper floor an electric box can sometimes spawn, which is always guarded by jane regardless of if it spawn or not. We only fight jane if it does spawn and ignore her otherwise and travel to the northern complex. The golden area basically is always a money spot that spawns 1 or 2 electric boxes. Travelling down, the area on the inbetween floor sometimes also spawns 0 to 2 Boxes for us to Loot.
Once we exit the building we find ourselves at the square in front of the metro station. Always loot the gear box on the left. The enemy group on the right will depend on if they spawned in with Electric Lootboxes which again varies from 0 to 2.
Going further East we will encounter boss Fight and up to 3 Electric Boxes (and at least 1), this is one of the prime spots to Rip your Golden Bangboo. If you have the time, which you will usually have, we also grab the Gear Box on the 2nd floor of the contstruction in front of us.
Once we did we travel onwards to Sixth Street, and will leave it via Metro once we completed our route there.
If you arrive in the Construction Area from Sixth Street or Metro, we do so at the Plaza in front of the Station, clear that one first, and then the Area to the East. Go back West up the Building checking all the spots, take the Elevator down, check the spot in the south as marked. From here it's slighlty faster to take the metro still but it doesn't matter too much if you take the regular route.
Lumina Central is where we will Arrive last, usually with ~11 Minutes to spare, and it's also the simplest to clear out.
We start with the Police Station, which is also an excellent spot for our Golden Bangboo as it always has a Safe and 1 to 3 Electric Boxes. We also fight the Boss on Main Street for their Loot and the Box they protect and then head to the gas station which has a safe and 1 or rarely 2 boxes.
The south eastern area sometimes has electric boxes for us to loot so we check it out before we enter the building. Depending on our time situation we fight Ysolde at the exit, to get her loot and also the safe she's close to.
At this point you will usually fight Ulidim, leaving us with 5 or six minutes once we nuked him with our saved up Primordial Nightmares.
We enter via the entrance marked with the green arrow, and take care of Jane and the Loot she is protecting. We then head to the Top Floor and check if a Lockbox spawned, if not we just go to the basement unless we have the time left to just fight whatevere spawned up there for it's loot, though we want to plan in at least 2 minutes for the Boss fight in general.
Lastly we head to the Basement, fight the Exit boss and leave with ~1 Minute to spare.
I'm Suburbing this Illusion
Suburbs can sometimes be rough, by a lot, because it's very inconsistent and RNG can hit you hard with no mercy left to spare. It has four Areas: Highway, Town, Warehouse and Fantasy Beach. 3 of these are rough and Fantasy Beach is where 80% of your value is.
The very unfun thing about Suburbs is that your spawnpoint and boss exit matter a lot, I'll first talk about the general plan for routing depending on spawn and boss exit.
I've ranked these spawns and exits via number. The spawn on Highway is the best because it let's us fullclear the map the easiest, because we don't want to ever use the Elevator to get down to beach due to Silly as it's a very long fight that doesn't give us loot. The other spawns are worse because we will need to Backtrack at some point.
Same logic applies to the Boss exits, they will force is to Backtrack depending on how bad they are.
Due to how random entry and exit are I won't go into detail in what order to do things but instead on where to go for loot. Keep in mind though that with how big the map is you won't have time to check every Blue spot I'll mark, so you should skip those if inconvenient with your travel route and prioritize the money spots.
Out of the bad locations Highway is the best. It has three spots with Potential Lockbox Spawns (that are worth checking), one is right next to one of the potential entries and exits, the other two are at the Gas station, one outside and one inside, so we will always go to the gas station to check both and also because we pass it to get to the Town area.
In the north is a Gear Chest protected in a Boss. It's out of the way but Gear Chests can be pretty useful, so it's up to you on wethere to get it or not.
The gated area connecting Highway to the Elevator of Evil is an excellent loot spot with up to 3 Lockboxes and Boss Loot, though we will always travel there via the Elevator from Fantasy Resort, because farming this place to Backtrack to the gate to open it is not worth the time.
You might notice the lack of yellow circles, this is because Town is rough and doesn't have any guranteed Lockbox Spawns. Check the Blue Spots and grab the Gear Box if you want to. It is rare I spend more than 2 Minutes in this Area, most of which is spent traveling through it. Especially the Area on the East and the Gear Box are prime Skip material to have more time for Fantasy Resort.
Yeah, I was serious when I said that all areas other than Fantasy Resort are rough. Check the big hall for loot (or ignore the boss inside if there's no Electric Box), and then visit Ysolde in the South. I usually fight her even if the Lockboxes that can spawn there didn't, because I already traveled all the way here and can grab the Gear Box that way, as well as her drops). We are now free of the hassle as we go to the exit, fight the boss there and get our 1 or 2 Electric Boxes and travel to Loot Paradise, also known as Fantasy Beach.
The age of bad Loot has passed as we arrive in Fantasy Beach. As we take the rail down from Warehouse we immediatly go south, fight the boss there and use Golden Bangboo to loot the 2 or 3 Electric Boxes and the Boss Loot. We go to the elevator, travel back to Highway, get the loot up there with the help of golden Bangboo most of the time and go back down the elevator to go the north and get the loot there.
As we travel to the aquarium we check left of the stair for a potential electric box. We fight in front of the Aquarium to get the Safe and Gear Box that are guranteed to spawn and also perhaps the Electric Boxes that can spawn there (0 to 2). Inside the Aquarium is a Aria that might protect another Electric Box. Going to the East into the Building, Aria waits inside to give us a Performance again, with a guranteed Electric Lootbox.
We check the safe on the ship deck and make our way out to the Boss.
A small Afterword
I hope this Guide was informational and can help you with earning more moneys! I didn't touch on Keycards, but all of them are somewhere along your Route anyway, so if you have em, us em is what I have to say. It's also possible I missed something, in which case feel free to add it in the Comments.
If you have questions feel free to leave them in the Comments and I'll try to get around to answering them.
Update about my finding about collection Drop.
So you guy will not be Misery like me since i spend 3 days and 3 nights try to find collection on ONLY ONE MAP and never get one, i get bangboo on the toilet the right one 9 times in six street but never get the left one so today i decide to look back and something just in my mind, huh maybe they fix the map that drop it. So i change map and in 30 minutes i got the left one.
so i think they fix map on the high end collection drop
On the map that have six street it drop
the right bangboo sit on toilet
the blue butterfly necklet
the one red ring
and
On the map that have fantasy resort it drop
bangboo that sit on the toilet that have cover face
the red butterfly necklet
the 4 blue/green ring
and for the golden poop i'm seeing they say it drop everywhere but never see one
so good luck all.
Tycoon Achievement
I did a quick search through a few of the zzz subreddits but didn’t find what I was looking for, hoping someone here might be able to answer my question.
Does anyone know specifically how the Tycoon Achievement is tracked? The specific wording is: Accumulate assets worth a total of 100,000,000 Gear Coins in the Depot Hub.
At first I thought it was relatively straight forward but now I’m starting to think I’m having a brain fog moment… I assumed it was just, gradually accumulate 100mil worth of “items”, looting actual gear coins wouldn’t count, and that it’s fine to sell items since you’d want to make room for more items.
I recently tested, and sure enough selling items did not lower my progress. But then I noticed that the my tracker did actually lower after I crafted some stuff… So it sounds like converting the items to gear coins is fine, but “using” the items and/or gear coins (like for crafting) will subtract from your progress… Does that mean giving gear coins to the Fool in a Barrel will too? I definitely feel like I should be closer to 100mil than I am but I only started paying attention recently so I wasn’t sure. If this is the case then I guess we should get the achievement first and then dump whatever on the Fool.
I hope they make a multiplayer for enigma of the labyrinth
I think the previous version of multiplayer was good but I really love the new mode for pappigo hollow with extraction gameplay I hope they plan to expand it to multiplayer.
I still want them to be team of 3 maybe do 1 character if they bring back chain time but yea it be fun have ulidim be more aggro and faster the more you have add more strategy where you can bait home to follow you when your teammates take chests
Also have him summon more shade in intervals of like 2 minutes the longer it goes in it makes it harder to pick the chest as you get more money.
I would have a multiplayer skill tree that allow you to get stuff like loot speed ,character speed , things that slows ulidim more you play with same people or within your clan that give good incentive to use your clan.
I love to hear your idea on how they could make a gun multiplayer experience
Labyrinth Maps: Important (hidden) spots for blueprints and meds
I'm about to tell you something that is overlooked by the ingame system for Labyrinth that is very important for progression and making your life easier for high level runs. Until you unlock S rank gear (sword, inventory, anti corruption, all of which are random blueprints drops ONLY) you can only suffer through high risk runs using A rank gear, which is tedious.
Some things to know about Enigma of the Labyrinth (EotL):
- You are limited to a total of 12 med items when deploying, but you can pick up more during a mission. This includes both the health restoration vials and the anti-corruption vials that restore lost max health from being corrupted. On High Risk, this is important to know considering the insane corruption rate of higher investment runs (unless you have the S rank anti corruption gear, which brings us to...)
- High level blueprints are very important because they raise your inventory level, damage reduction, and corruption resist (most important). The swords are somewhat less important but S rank ones are still very useful. All of these are only random drops, you cannot buy them anywhere. Specifically, gear BPs will very (and I mean very) rarely drop from bosses, but have a MUCH higher drop rate in gear boxes.
So, given the above two points, I took the liberty of making these 2 maps so you can get the stuff you need each run, and you're being intentional about attempting to get gear BPs and meds to stay alive.
- There are 4 spots in total for meds and gear boxes on each map. These are "hidden" in that they are not marked by the map even though they are static, permanent containers, always there (which is wild for how important they can be). If you mean to farm for gear BPs, always do Janus, as they are all clustered together in the north of the map. There are no meds or gear in the south (Lumina).
- Gear BPs have a much higher chance of spawning in gear boxes. I know this for certain because I ignored them for a long time, thinking they were like any other minor container (box, suitcase, etc.). Only when I opened one did I notice I FINALLY got an S rank sword BP that was never dropping from anywhere else, and I quickly got other S rank BPs when I realized this. It will also drop BPs for agent tacticals. If your goal is to finally unlock that elusive S rank anti corruption device, you need to aim for these containers every time.
- Meds of the same type will insta-refill from your inventory. If you have a stack of purple health vials and use all of them, but have another stack in inventory, it will be autoreplaced when you use your last one. This means that IN BATTLE you can effectively have tons of health or anti-corruption charges so long as you hit up several med spots along the way (remember, you are limited to 12 health items on deployment, I usually bring 6 of each kind, but you can carry however many you find).
- Remember that opening your map doesn't pause time, but the ESC menu does. You can refer to these maps during a mission that way.
Little tip about the Hound in High Risk runs (OP Bagel)
For those grinding 2.5m investment High Risk runs for the badge:
Can confirm that the Hound doesn't reappear again once you kill it so it may be good to try to kill it asap so you can loot the access card rooms in Lumina Central interruption-free!
Though if there's still a Phantom Hound around the area and you manage to trigger its physical manifestation then you'll prolly have to kill it again but I did not bother to confirm this bc I still had to fight the final boss and only had 2 mins left lol
This is best done in Janus Illusion map bc the Final Boss room is always in the basement of Lumina Central and never changes spots (AFAIK)
I say this bc I got PTSD when I lost a High Risk run bc the Final Boss room in Suburbs Illusion wasn't by the beach area (when it usually was) and I got there with 3 mins left only to find out that the evacuation point was actually in Windworn Highway. I could not go the long way bc there was no time left so I resigned myself to my fate and went down the path with the SBilly boss on the elevator, which ofc led to my death
How to Blitz (most) Boss in Operation Bagel [High-Risk Difficulty]
Items required for this Combo are: Etheric Phantom - Thracian and High-Grade Blade of the Other: Powerslash.
This was recorded in 2.5M High-Risk Difficulty run (These Attacks deal %HP damage so extra toughness is irrelevant).
This trick work for most wandering Boss, work well especially against those who tend to trigger Cacophony Shield early (Haytor, Covenant Guardian, Most Doppelgengers, etc.) or any Boss Enemy in Mist Area -- even if 75% chance to trigger Totalize missed, enemy would still be left with very low HP.
Keep in mind that against certain Doppelgenger (Isolde and Jane), it is safer to wait until they finished their partially I-framed move they usually used when first entering Miasma/Cacophony Shield, otherwise they might dodge half (if not all) of Thracian's attack.
While many suggest to use Thracian against the Hound, personally I find it more time efficient to use it against Boss that would "take too long" to eliminate (Attribute-resistance, Unfavorable Matchup or simply just being annoying) -- Hound can be easily avoided by just outrunning it (IF you have Agent with fast movement) while its shield slowly decayed, or drag it into another fight and let the collateral damage from the battle chip away its shield (it may sound insane, but for team with good amount of I-Frame it's surprisingly chill) -- or do both mentioned method.
Just broke Top 30 in Enigma! How To & Opinions
Firstly, I've been doing Lost Void runs on a daily basis for the last several months just to get more gameplay that isn't DA or Shiyu timer bull, so I super appreciate having something new to sink my teeth into. I like making my gear coin number go up. Managing the timer feels like it's in my control here. Very fun gamemode, but also pretty scuffed and can be very frustrating, and not for the right reasons.
What did you use?
M3W1 Miyabi, M0W1 Nangong Yu, M0W1 Yuzuha. I'm far from a good Miyabi player so if you're competent you can probably match or beat me with M0W1.
What I had - all S inventory, all Z rank gears, skill tree fully unlocked. You do want to use character specific gears because their personal gears give stats suited to them - e.g. the generic Z stun has better passives, but Yu's personal grants Anom Mastery.
I had every Janus card including the Z card; getting one in a random drop is what prompted me to buy the other cards and try this run.
About getting S blueprints for blade/defense/inventory, there are guides out there for how to grind Janus for them e.g. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U4xT9J3LxCo
Consumables:
- 3 S healing
- 3 S corruption reduction
- 3 Primordial Nightmare
- 3 Thracian
- The rest all Bangboo skills for faster looting
I took the healing for safety but I only spent 1 of each that mattered. You could go for more Bangboo instead to nab more loot.
3 Primordials combined is a net 105% max HP % damage to the final boss. This is my insurance to make sure I can clear any run in case Miyabi somehow dies; disengage, go straight to the boss fight, pop 3 Primordials and it's free. In practice, I usually only use 1 Primordial and then 1 more or a Thracian to kill the final boss.
Thracians are my preferred for breaking shields, which bosses love to throw up and waste your time with. Between using Powerful Slash to start a fight, damage & energy for breaking shield, and the Powerful Slash opportunity you get when you break a shield, it makes them a lot easier. I don't use it on Haytor since he vaporizes his own shield for you, but the raptors and especially doppelgangers are worth using it on. I might also use a Thracian to make hound go away faster if he spawns very inconveniently e.g. while I'm mid-looting.
How to score big number?
Play Janus. Suburbs sucks. Maybe you can also score well there but it's a big mess of a circle with timed one-use one-way portals; Janus is a straight line from beginning to end, much easier to route and traverse. Memorize where the electronic lockboxes usually spawn, especially where they spawn in groups, and hit them. Ignore everything else. Grab Mechanical Lockboxes when they're convenient, but don't go out of your way just for one.
Normally I take every fight but to get this run I skipped a few. My criteria was, "is there 2 or more big loots to get here?" Big loot as in A) the loot dropped by killed bosses, B) Electronic Lockbox, C) Mechanical Lockbox. If there's not at least 2, I skipped to save time. You don't want every single lootbox, there's always more lootboxes than you have time to grab. Similarly, I used my Bangboo when there were 3 or more big loots in one place.
Doppelgangers (and by that I mostly mean Jane) are time wasters unless they're directly in your way, don't bother with them otherwise.
Keep an eye out for the phantom hound and instakill it with your S sword Powerful Slash, you don't want to waste time on it. If it notices you, speed kill it with Miyabi charged slash or EXs, maybe an Ult if you must; you don't want to waste time with an unnecessary hound spawn.
That said, get used to fighting the hound, he is NOT all that. If you can get away and be productive doing other things while he's following, that's ideal because his bar will drain on its own; then when you do fight, you have a lot less bar to reduce before he leaves. Most of the time though he'll run straight up to you or spawn directly on you so you have to fight him. He's inconvenient but not really a threat, except for that one drill attack that multi hits and probably eats most of your health.
When the hound is chasing, you can save time by angering him and other enemies at the same time. If you fight a boss while hound is nearby, his meter will go down a lot by virtue of being caught in the crossfire. The game seems to slow his stalk mode to a crawl while you're in combat, probably as an anti frustration thing for players who don't want to fight him, so it might take some wrangling to get him in the fight. But it'll save you a lot of time if you can do it. If you're feeling frisky, you can quickly open and close a lootbox mid-fight to make him immediately warp at you but that might get you hit, and you may not be able to afford that on max investment.
The "Hound has entered Nightfall" notification triggers when you have enough loot, I think 3 million is the threshold. If it doesn't trigger immediately, it should trigger next time you see him. Once he's in Nightfall, he will never go away so it makes looting a lot harder until you kill him.
When hound teleports a short distance away and charges up for a long time, that's the attack that will take you to the hound dimension. If you're not familiar, it looks like a control skill startup, honestly. You want to get hit by this, it does no damage and it's the only way to start the real hound fight. You want to kill hound for the red loot and also so he won't bother you anymore.
Also, ngl just get lucky. I still don't have a golden shit
That's my input on how I scored, the rest is jumbled thoughts on the gamemode.
I hate this mode
There's so much wrong with it.
Input priority. I play on keyboard but if you use controller you probably already know exactly what I mean. If you have interact and parry on the same input, and you're standing near an item while an enemy attacks, you will not parry them. You will open the box and instantly get hit. I work around it by using reverse swap to parry in those situations but it absolutely shouldn't be like this.
The camera. You can tell this game wasn't made for this because the camera really does not appreciate half the fights you get in and ESPECIALLY hound fights. Too many times I'm in a fight when my camera swings around into a corner and I'm effectively fighting blind. God help you if the hound jumps you in an enclosed space and blocks the door. There's options to disable the game moving your camera for you but again, shouldn't be like that in the first place.
The bugged rail. There is one specific rail in Janus that when you ride it in one specific direction, bugs out and makes you traverse it twice before it works. If you do the blueprint grind, you will experience this.
Synchronized enemies? Sometimes if you provoke an enemy, it'll provoke another from super far away. Again, you'll notice this during the blueprint grind because the worst offender is when you're at the very start of Janus Illusion, you attack the enemy there, and then a Marionette suddenly teleports in and ambushes you from the next street over.
Powerful Slash teleporting me across the map to enemies I didn't target. Powerful Slash moving me through the ceiling to a combat area I already cleared. There's a lot of slash jank that's mostly disorienting and kind of funny until it throws you into a fight you really weren't planning to take.
Double shields. If an enemy starts with a shield, they can put up a second immediately after the first is broken. Even worse, they can refresh their shield when it was just about to break, effectively making you go through two whole shields while losing out on the benefits of one shield break. Convenant Guardian, Raptor, Jane, Isolde, and that fat frog I hate are really bad about this.
On top of that, if the boss has a fancy setpiece attack to go with their shield, there's good odds their shield is unbreakable until they finish it. The fat frog is the worst offender here. So many time wasters to slow you down, there's serious thought to skip these fights just because of all their bull.
Of course, bosses with invincible attacks can also invincible those boss skills. So if Jane or Isolde decides now isn't a good time, they can dodge that big chunky % HP reduction and drag the fight out even longer.
Can't use Z skills against doppelgangers for some reason??? Normally skills like Primordial are disabled while you're walking around but it seems like the game sometimes doesn't properly register you as in combat against doppelgangers, so those skills remain locked. Out of all possible enemies, of course it's the doppelgangers who do this...
BILLY BILLY BILLY BILLY BILLY BILLY BILLY BILLY I hate Billy so much. So much obnoxious iframes. He's frustrating enough normally but it's ultra bad here. This is the only fight in the entirety of Enigma that locks you into it with no escape and isn't either an end stage boss or the fucking hound himself. Why can Billy do this? On top of that, guess how I learned the above point that Z skills don't work on doppelgangers. Answer: in Billy fight. The Billy fight you can't leave until you kill him, the only fight like that in the entire game mode. And just to add insult to injury, he doesn't even have the basic decency to drop anything when you kill him. You get locked in a cage match with him with your skills disabled and no escape and when you finally put him down, you get nothing. Wonderful.
There's so much unappealing about Suburbs it's honestly impressive how unattractive it is. Awkward to route, huge open spaces, takes forever to get anywhere. Plus the Billy fight on the elevator that wastes your time with zero reward. If he spawns, you might as well treat Suburbs as having a shorter timer than Janus on top of all its other problems. It's wild how imbalanced the maps are.
Hound time wasting. Huge source of my frustration is waiting for him to do the one attack that lets me kill him. It's not timer based, I've had him do it with over seven minutes on the clock left. I've also had him stall for over three minutes before finally doing it. If someone knows how to force his "send you to the hound dimension" attack I'd appreciate it.
High risk investment isn't worth it enough. Unless you omega sweat it, you sink 2.5M up front and make back, let's say, 5 or 6 million on your run. Sounds like a nice big number, until you remember you paid 2.5 million in the first place. Your net profit was 2.5 to 3 million. If you ran level 60 no investment you could comfortably make 3 to 4 million. You make more per run on the lower difficulty. Playing with the same equipment, same playstyle, and same level of skill, you take higher risk for lower reward. I haven't tried a sweat run on 0 investment yet so jury's out on that, but I'd bet the profit wouldn't be that far off from what I make on max investment.
It's a fun mode, mostly, but there's some serious lack of polish and the addiction to time wasters is such a mood killer. I'm sure they'll never do anything about the time wasting shields and enemies with invincible attacks but I hope they clean up the jank that's flying around all over this gamemode.
does anyone else hate this elevator
Twice now I've been stopped by this absolute fucking unit of a billy doppleganger who never fails to cut at least 2 minutes of my run out dealing with his absurdly large healthpool. one of those times nearly forced a failure as the extraction gates almost closed. The fact that its random makes this path completely unusable, and you can't escape AT ALL as you are locked on the elevator with him. HATE THIS SO MUCH. thanks for listening and you can leave your 'skill issues' at the door
PSA: Tip Regarding Night Domain
This is just a quick little tip for those of you who want to maximize earnings in Enigma of the Labyrinth.
Do not fear the dog. Rather, welcome it with open arms. No joke.
If you've run EotL a few times, you'll notice that there's a 3-4 minute respawn timer in between Ulidim spawns that's based on current earnings. This fact is important.
Night Domain will trigger if the Cacophony gauge meter reaches 3 bars. This will usually happen when the remaining timer goes down to 5 minutes (10 minutes on High Risk and will immediately trigger as soon as Ulidim spawns.
When Night Domain is active, Cacophony corruption becomes faster the longer you linger in the current extraction run. Even moreso if you've just finished putting the fucking dog in their place (killed Ulidim in its domain). At that point you're given a choice: continue exploring or cashing out.
The biggest way to maximize profit in either mode is to not trigger Night Domain to begin with. Why? Reread point #4.
So. How do you do this then? Well, its quite simple. Once the Cacophony meter maxes out, actively seek out for phantom Ulidims in Cacophony soundscapes and force it to materialize. Then chase it off each time. This would be easier to do if you've just driven off Ulidim at around 11.30m to right before 10.30m, or just in the cusp of Lv3 Cacophony meter.
Doing this repeatedly every 2-3 minutes of exploration timer during Lv3 Cacophony meter allows you to prevent Ulidim from naturally spawning and preventing Night Domain from triggering... well, not totally but delaying it as much as you can while you clean up the rest of the map and exiting through Final Battle.
This is for Proxies who are confident in their dodge/block chops. The averagely-skilled Proxy can attempt this method by stocking up on Thracians to quickly deplete Ulidim's enhancrd Cacophony shield as fast as possible, though they will need to block the doggo's attacks at least once then using Thracian to fully deplete the shield.
Drop your comments below if you have something to add for other Proxies to know!
I went from being stuck with A-tier equipment after tens of rounds to getting all 3 of them to S-tier in less than 2h by using this one simple trick.
Repeat this process until you get what you want.
