Labyrinth Maps: Important (hidden) spots for blueprints and meds
I'm about to tell you something that is overlooked by the ingame system for Labyrinth that is very important for progression and making your life easier for high level runs. Until you unlock S rank gear (sword, inventory, anti corruption, all of which are random blueprints drops ONLY) you can only suffer through high risk runs using A rank gear, which is tedious.
Some things to know about Enigma of the Labyrinth (EotL):
- You are limited to a total of 12 med items when deploying, but you can pick up more during a mission. This includes both the health restoration vials and the anti-corruption vials that restore lost max health from being corrupted. On High Risk, this is important to know considering the insane corruption rate of higher investment runs (unless you have the S rank anti corruption gear, which brings us to...)
- High level blueprints are very important because they raise your inventory level, damage reduction, and corruption resist (most important). The swords are somewhat less important but S rank ones are still very useful. All of these are only random drops, you cannot buy them anywhere. Specifically, gear BPs will very (and I mean very) rarely drop from bosses, but have a MUCH higher drop rate in gear boxes.
So, given the above two points, I took the liberty of making these 2 maps so you can get the stuff you need each run, and you're being intentional about attempting to get gear BPs and meds to stay alive.
- There are 4 spots in total for meds and gear boxes on each map. These are "hidden" in that they are not marked by the map even though they are static, permanent containers, always there (which is wild for how important they can be). If you mean to farm for gear BPs, always do Janus, as they are all clustered together in the north of the map. There are no meds or gear in the south (Lumina).
- Gear BPs have a much higher chance of spawning in gear boxes. I know this for certain because I ignored them for a long time, thinking they were like any other minor container (box, suitcase, etc.). Only when I opened one did I notice I FINALLY got an S rank sword BP that was never dropping from anywhere else, and I quickly got other S rank BPs when I realized this. It will also drop BPs for agent tacticals. If your goal is to finally unlock that elusive S rank anti corruption device, you need to aim for these containers every time.
- Meds of the same type will insta-refill from your inventory. If you have a stack of purple health vials and use all of them, but have another stack in inventory, it will be autoreplaced when you use your last one. This means that IN BATTLE you can effectively have tons of health or anti-corruption charges so long as you hit up several med spots along the way (remember, you are limited to 12 health items on deployment, I usually bring 6 of each kind, but you can carry however many you find).
- Remember that opening your map doesn't pause time, but the ESC menu does. You can refer to these maps during a mission that way.
