Got turned away at two Copart yards for "needing a dealer license" just to look, not even bid. Anyone else?

Tried to preview vehicles in person at two different Copart yards (different states) and both times staff said I needed a dealer license just to walk in — not for one specific car, for the whole lot. I thought public members could preview for free or with a small guest fee?

My guess now is I hit dealer-only branches by mistake, not public ones.

Trying to avoid a third wasted trip. Has anyone dealt with this? Did you just use a broker to get authorized access instead, and was it worth the deposit just to inspect before bidding?

Copart Logic: Listed as a "Fire Loss," but the engine runs perfectly and there's not a burn mark on it?

Hey guys, I stumbled across an absolute head-scratcher of a salvage listing and need some eyes on it.

The insurance company officially clocked this thing as a Fire Loss, but looking through the auction photos, I feel like I'm playing a high-stakes game of Where’s Waldo.

• The "Damage": The primary damage is listed as "front end," but it literally just looks like some faded/scuffed paint from a minor fender bender.

• The Plot Twist: The listing says it Starts and Runs perfectly.

Where is the fire? Did the previous owner drop a lit cigarette on the carpet and call it a total loss? Did a fire truck just drive past it once?

Has anyone else run into a ghost "fire" title where the car is completely unscathed, or am I walking into a trap?
