Hello,

I am currently in the hiring process, and as the time gets closer for an academy date, I am wanting to get information on the Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits that are offered to CHP Officers and their dependents.

From what I gathered is you have two Medical benefits routes you can chose between CalPERS/CalHR or CAHP (California Association of Highway Patrol).

Can anyone shed some light if this is correct and/or where would I be able to find the current options and information regarding the plans being offered. For example Costs per family, PPO or HMO, etcetera.

I’m currently looking at the CAHP website and the CALPERS benefits information.
