Cotton bobbin done!
I just barely fit all of this on one bobbin! It’s late, I’ll measure and finish it tomorrow.

This is the Mercy Grace Faroese Shawl. The yarn is lace weight silk held two together. I borrowed a giant cone of it from a friend so I don’t know any more than that. A fun knit, if somewhat repetitive. I’m really happy with the result. I wanted something that would stay put when I wore it and the fit of this plus the beads definitely fits the bill. I’ll put the pattern in the comments.
Pattern is the Milly Cardigan by Irene Lin. I LOVED this knit. Yarn is handspun by me, somewhere between heavy lace and light fingering 2-ply. The pattern was very well written. It had both charts and written instructions. The charts were all separate for each section, which meant switching between charts multiple times per row. I opted to use the written instructions which worked out really well. It’s not a hard knit, very predictable but still interesting. To accommodate my yarn, which is smaller than the pattern calls for, I got as close as I could to gauge while still liking the fabric, mathed out the stitch counts using my measurements, and chose a size that matched those numbers. It fits exactly as I was hoping it would.
Here it is!! Well, some of it. I have a LOT left over. Some in yarn form, some still uncombed. I finally figured out how to scour (well, re-scour) this. Small batches, more Dawn than I used the first time, two rinse bowls with the same temperature water. Also, I tried flicking it first. All of that made it a dream to comb and spin. So total success.
The knitting pattern is the Milly Cardigan by Irene Lin. Possibly my favorite knit ever. Partly due to how much I loved the yarn and partly because it is a really fun and easy pattern.
