Thoughts on the MAcc and Analytics Bridge Program?

ust graduated with my Bachelor’s in Computer Science.

One thing I’ve learned through school, projects, and internships is that while I respect software development, I don’t see myself pursuing a traditional developer/coding-heavy career long term. (As if I even could at this point, it's rough out there.)

I really enjoy working with numbers, data, analysis, and understanding how information can drive decisions. Because of that, I’ve been exploring possible pivot into data analysis and set me up for management roles or just roads that take numbers and make decisions.

Recently, I came across the Ohio University MAcc and Analytics Online Bridge program.

I was curious if anyone here has experience with the program:

Was it worth the investment?
Did it help with career opportunities?
Any issues with internships / placements during the program?
How was the overall experience?

It looks like this program would be a bit longer then the regular year long Macc - but seemed like it could potentially be a good opportunity to move in a direction that feels more me.

Any insight helps!

Ohio University - MAcc and Analytics program

Hey everyone,

I recently graduated with a bachelors in computer science. I’m more so leaning towards analytics than development at this point and potentially management. Basically, I really hate coding heavy career paths but love numbers, talking about what they mean or could mean, and being apart of the conversation for change based on them.

This led me to find the Ohio University Online MAcc and Analytics program.

Has anyone from WGU in or completed this program at all?

If so, I’d be very curious to hear from you on things like:
How was or is it?
Do you feel it was worth it?
Have you been having a hard time finding an internship placement?

Or anything else you’d like to add. I’m going to wait 6-12 months before applying but this is something I’m really considering.
