I live in Alaska and probably clean 5-6 skills a year. (Deer, caribou, moose) Macerating, simmering, steaming, I’ve tried it all. I’m contemplating getting an enclosure set up in my heated detached garage.

I’ve actually tried to call around to get a moose in with some other local people that have beetles and people fill up fast. So I’d imagine I could take a couple on each year to recoup some costs. People are charging 5-600 for a beetle cleaned euro moose around me.

My biggest concern is escapement and smell. I’d vent it outside and maybe start them off in a big old deep freeze?

Anyone have any thoughts or advice? Is this worth it or do I keep macerating and just deal with it.
