Baby green sunfish? South texas
Found in a man-made pond that floods into a not man-made creek in south texas. Pond was never stocked with anything but evidently fish got in in the flooding. Inaturalist Identified as a green sunfish but I am not sure because it looks like even babies have way fewer stripes. Sorry it's dead, I was trying to catch minnows in a trap and all the minnows are gone but this guy was left, dead. Maybe he ate the minnows. Thanks!
