Is the Dillinger Jump Jet really an upgrade?

I love how Tron Ares didn't forget to include animations for rezzing vehicles in the Grid world. But what really struck me as odd was the design of the Jump Jet. Yes, it has 4x the light ribbons as the one-man Light Jet from Legacy... but it has no guns. I thought Julian was designing weapons of war here.

He explained that the DART has guns on it plus the battering ram, because he intended it to be rezzed IRL for military use. Now, I can excuse Athena for never using those DART cannons presumably because the turret requires a separate operator. But I can't really excuse any of the Jump Jet pilots for only using light ribbons for offense. That's dumb. If Julian really wanted to supply the military with Jump Jets, he should've added guns to them. Clu's aircraft all had guns, so why not?

The only other feature I noticed from the Jump Jet design is its VTOL capability, which Athena used to hover in place in front of the Encom building. I guess that in itself would be more useful. But overall, I fail to see how the Ares Jump Jet is an upgrade over the Legacy Light Jet.

Luthen vs Ithorak Guldar

I reminisced about KOTOR 1 and noticed that there's this peculiar character who disguises himself as an antique dealer as a front for his spy network. Sounds familiar, right?

For the fun of it, I'll pose a discussion question: could Luthen & Axis outwit the GenoHaradan to silence an Overseer, or would they be targeted first by the ancient organization of assassins?

Consider that both of them run very good intelligence operations and can outsource their work to mercenaries & assassins to fulfill their goals. To analyze each network's weaknesses, consider how Luthen got caught by Dedra and how Ithorak got whacked by Revan. The GenoHaradan may be the stuff of legends, but Axis was no slouch in espionage throughout the whole Andor show. And if anything, Luthen would meet someone like Ithorak if both got invited to some rich guy's party for the antiquity business, so throw a face-to-face scenario like that into the mix 😉

Maul's Glow-Up

Be careful who you called ugly in middle school.

Just kidding; it’s probably an art style thing, but it's funny to me how Maul has fairly white teeth after all these years. His TPM look had much worse dental care, so I'd joke that he spent his stolen credits on a good dentist for better aura farming.
