Owners manual says first oil change at 6,600 miles?

I have 500 miles on my new ND. Should I really wait that long for the first oil change?

Bought a new GT from the dealer two weeks ago, I've washed it four times.

So far, it's been a joy. Just as fun as I have been imagining. I have one of those Platypus license plate holders on order, and other than that I am not planning on any mods. Well, I put a little shelf in the center glove box, which helps a lot.

I'm pleasantly surprised by:

  • How little wind there is, even at highway speeds with the top down.
  • How quiet the cabin is. It's actually quieter than my 2012 Civic Si.
  • How tight and well made everything is.
  • How good the radio is.

I'm not a fan of the High-Beam Control system. It's nuts that you can't turn the brights off w/o reaching down to hit the button (which I can't see w/o leaning over).

Also, my Pixel 6a phone isn't powerful enough to handle Android Auto, even connecting with USB, but you can't blame the car for that.

Looking forward to many miles and some slightly cooler days.
