I had a bilateral salpingectomy on June 22nd and all has been good. Got no bill for the surgery itself etc. But this week I got a bill for the blood test I had done at the consultation/pre surgery appointment? I assumed these were included as part of the "everything covered related to the preventative sterilization" talked about in the ACA. When I called my insurance (blue cross blue shield) they said that the code put in for these tests was diagnostic so that's why I have to pay them. What should I do?
