I've become a fan of the Volumes package designs. The cool themes, graphics, and colors are hard to ignore.

In time I'll call out a favorite. For now, I simply enjoy them for their designs and stories. I will be sketching and writing some as time ticks on.

2000 Pewter Metallic Firehawk

When time allows, I like to test drive my pencils and markers in coloring books which become reference books.

Tonight its the Blackwing Extra Firm Natural Wood Incense Cedar pencil.

Weight and balance is very comfortable. Strong lead sharpens and holds point well. Upon application, I find the lead to be scratchy at times but not always. Usually under medium to hard pressure. Eraser performed very well.

Paper stock is heavy and feels like a vellum finish with a fine tooth. A very nice white with no yellowing even though it was published in 1986.

2nd photo has a yellow cast from initial lighting. 1st photo of finished piece shot without warm lighting.

130+ cars. Fun day.

1st time participant. 2026 Indian Uprising in Crystal Lake, IL. 2000 SLP Firehawk. AT. T-Tops. Pewter Metallic. Stock except for rims and tires.

2000 PONTIAC FIREBIRD TRANS-AM SLP FIREHAWK.

24k miles. 1 owner Nevada car at time of my purchase last week. This specific vehicle is Build Number 444 of the 741 total SLP Firehawks produced for the 2000 model year.

Total Pewter Firehawks: 114 (101 Trans Am Coupes, 11 Formula Coupes, and 2 Trans Am Convertibles).

Only 24 were the Pewter + T-top + AT combo.

17" American Racing Five-Spoke Wheels. Ebony Leather Interior. Monsoon 10-speaker stereo system. 12 Disc CD Changer. Loaded and fun to show and drive.

Spotted this bullet pencil in an antique store today. No markings. Love the hand carved point.

Thought I'd try this out in my journal- a low profile clip-on page marker/pen. Cool concept- Penmark Ultrathin with 2 refills.

Rolls smooth on this Rhodia A5ish spiral bound paper. Love the paper in this. Only alcohol markers bleed thru.

Just received it today so it'll be interesting to see how I feel about it in time.
