3 days post opp

Actually 2 days post-op🙂

Progress. 🙏🏽🤎
Today I walked my little guy for the first time since surgery. We made it half a block... and yes, I even picked up 💩. 😂
It may not seem like much, but after a laparoscopic myomectomy, every step is a victory.
I'm getting stronger every day, and I'm so thankful for the progress God has already allowed me to make.
Healing isn't about how fast you go, it's about moving forward.
Thank You, God, for progress. 🙌🏽✨

1 day post opp

One day post-op, and I'm feeling good! 🙌🏽🙏🏽
I had a laparoscopic myomectomy where my surgeon removed four fibroids. The largest was a 15 cm pedunculated fibroid, meaning it was attached by a stalk. Another fibroid was located low enough that it was removed vaginally. My surgery lasted about three hours, and I'm experiencing only minimal bleeding.
Right now, the gas pain and my incisions are the biggest sources of discomfort, but overall my pain is only about a 4 out of 10. I'm able to walk, eat, and move around, which I'm incredibly grateful for. Luckily, I'm ambidextrous, so I've even been picking things up with my feet to avoid bending too much! 😂
I'm still a little nervous about busting my stitches, and coughing or trying to burp definitely isn't fun. Getting up from the toilet has been a workout in itself, but thank God for the gym, my upper body strength has been a lifesaver.
Most importantly, I prayed with my surgeon before surgery, and for the two weeks leading up to it I prayed specifically for minimal pain. God answered that prayer, and I couldn't be more thankful. His peace has carried me through this entire experience, and I'm giving Him all the glory.
Thank you, God, for watching over me. This is just the beginning of my healing journey. 🤎🙏🏽✨

Surgery in 3 days😩

I’m having a Laparoscopic myomectomy in a few days, and I’m just here reading all the post lol. I’m nervous! My biggest fibroid is 15 cm and 3 smaller ones. I don’t really have a lot of home help so I’m learning from these post. I’m praying my pain threshold is high because I have a dog and I don’t feel comfortable boarding him. We have a walk routine that I’m worried about. Guess he’ll have to use the bathroom in the yard for a few days.

I see that I need gasX and wedge pillow from numerous post. I’m a very active 47 gym rat so I’m praying my recovery will be quick. 🙏🏽. I absolutely love my doctor and I’m praying for the both of us! My symptoms aren’t really bad but the frequent urination and constipation from where the 15cm sits has become a serious problem. High fiber diet is important for regularity, and water intake has made it necessary for me to be by a bathroom. The aesthetic of this thing is horrible! My stomach bulge is very embarrassing as I’ve had a flat stomach all my life.

Any advice and encouraging words is greatly appreciated!
