Pictures coming out yellow

Got back from a trip recently that included museum/outdoor photography, where I used my Canon R100. The R100 has scene presets/filters that are built in, like specialized for nighttime photography or for artwork. When I use those presets, the pictures come out really clean and well colorized, and I'm happy with them. However, when I use any other format like auto or any type of priority (the "standard" camera), the photos look fine on the camera screen but come out really yellow/amber tinted.

Is this normal or am I doing something wrong? Also is there a specific way to edit this out or is it just decreasing the warmth of the picture? I don't like them this warm-tinted but I also don't want to drain all that saturation out of them.

I think Nikon is one small step away from making the best SOOC JPEGs in the industry

Right now during editing I basically apply the same self-made color recipe in Lightroom as preset to almost every photo I take. See example.

Not because I enjoy editing.

Not because I want to spend more time in front of a computer.

I do it because I need a few color corrections to fir my liking.

I tried to replicate similar colors with flexible colour profiles, but something was always missing. Maybe I'm doing it wrong, but as soon I got my green tones via WB the skin tones were cooked.

Don't get me wrong, NX Studio and flexible color profiles are a fantastic foundation and there are great community recepies out there. But I realized, that at least for me one key part is missing.

The one thing I’m missing is simple selective color adjustment.

Not Lightroom in the camera. Not a complicated professional tool.

Just: Color range → Hue + Saturation

For example in my case:

- Greens: slightly more yellow/olive and a little less saturated

- Blues: slightly toward cyan and slightly desaturated

- Yellows: slightly toward orange

- Keep skin tones neutral and adjust warmth with white balance

That alone would probably eliminate 85% of my remaining edits. 15% would be masks.

As a family photographer, I don't want to come home from a vacation and process hundreds of photos. I want to have a camera that gives me a finished look straight out of camera.

Fuji shown how powerful a good SOOC ecosystem can be. Ricoh and Panasonic are also moving in this direction. Nikon already has the technical foundation — it just needs one more layer of creative control.

Honestly, I would rather see this than another collection of new Picture Controls.

Would anyone else use this, or am I just trying to turn my Nikon into a better Fuji?
