Okay here’s my final episode theory
Okay here is what I’ve been thinking of. The finale is disappointing in a way, but not how we think.
The whole show has been about Deborah’s Legacy- she keeps chasing Late Night, MSG- all of these things that she thinks will make her happy.
I keep thinking of the Fleetwood Mac song “landslide” where the lyric is “I climbed a mountain and I turned around”
I don’t know the order but I see Deb killing at MSG and there’s tons or applause and after, she’s talking to Ava, saying “I thought this would be it”
Ava flips, telling Deborah how hard they’ve worked and it’s for nothing?
Deborah says “it’s not nothing for you, it’s nothing for me”
Deborah takes time away, goes to Paris with Ava etc. and realizes she needs to heal her relationship with DJ and also, her grandson.
When Ava moves out, Deborah gives her permission to adapt “Who’s making dinner?” And gives her a set of salt and pepper shakers. Kinda releasing Ava into the world.
I see the last seen with landslide being played and Deb shows her grandson her salt and pepper shaker collection.
This is all very contrary to what people have been thinking will happen. Maybe this is dumb, but just my idea.
