Most recent common ancestor (MRCA) of people of European descent?

We know the claim that people of European descent are descended from everyone who lived during the time of Charlemagne and whose descendants have survived to the present day, as explained by the multiplication of ancestors with each generation going back in time and the pedigree collapse.

Experts also say that all Europeans today are descended from Europeans who lived 1,000 years ago. This means that figures such as William the Conqueror and Hugh Capet are probably part of all our family trees, even though this cannot be proven for most of us due to a lack of documentary evidence.

This sparked a very specific question in my mind: Who would realistically be the most recent historical figure to appear as a common ancestor in our (sometimes proved, sometimes theorical) family trees, as people of European descent? Would it be someone from the year 1000? From the year 1100? 1200? Which rulers or other famous figures could we name without taking too big a risk?

Can ESFP/SEE be SP2?

I feel like this question is rarely addressed, but I’ve sometimes seen disagreements about it, even when there was no explanation. We do know about E8 and SX2, but how about SP2? If I had to give my two cents, I’d say the disagreement is linked to the fact that ESFP/SEE is more of an assertive and dominant type, while SP2s are more "juvenile" and make themselves appear as vulnerable. I don’t know enough about typologies to really settle it tho.

What is your opinion on this? Do you think it's a possible correlation or whether it is contradictory?

In-person event cape pricing over time

Hi everyone!

Sorry if this is a dumb question, I'm pretty new to the whole Minecraft cape community.

I'm interested in getting the Moonlight Trail Cape, I noticed it's currently selling for around $60-70.

Since the in-person event is still ongoing, I'm wondering what usually happens to the price of these event capes. As more people attend the event, I assume more codes will become available. Does that generally make the price go down at some point?

Or is it usually the opposite, where the price just keeps increasing because of rarity and demand?

Thank you for your time!

Any good CPAP pillow models?

Since I mainly sleep on my stomach and always have leaks with my mask, I’d like to try a pillow designed for CPAP users. Something like this.

Since I don't know much about this and don't want to end up with a bad product, I'd appreciate your advice on which "model" to choose.

Thank you for your time and advice.

Most comfortable mask for stomach sleepers?

I’ve always slept on my stomach with my head half buried in my duvet or mattress (I rarely use a pillow). It’s extremely difficult to break this habit and sleep on my back or even on my side, I just can't get used to it. I use the AirFit N30, and once it reaches a certain angle, the pressure on it inevitably causes a leak.

So I was wondering which mask would be the most comfortable for someone in this situation.

Thank you for your time and advice.

How bad is it?

My main problem is waking up at night; not a single night goes by without me waking up to go to the bathroom. I feel very tired during the day, have very little energy, experience brain fog, headaches, dizziness, etc.

I had a polysomnography a while ago, which revealed a mild form of sleep apnea and hypopnea; an AHI of 13.1, composed mostly of hypopneas (11.8) and 1.3 central apneas per hour. My detailed report is in pictures; it's in French, and I'm not sure if it will be very useful to you, but I decided to include it anyway and have summarized the key points in this text so you can better assess my condition and its real severity.

Nearly all of these apneas and hypopneas result in desaturation that remains above 95%, which is the least severe outcome.

At first, my sleep doctor prescribed me a sedative that was supposed to help me sleep more soundly. Not only did it not have the desired effect, but I was also ten times more exhausted during the day - it was unbearable.

So he asked me if I wanted to try CPAP, and I agreed. Here’s the problem: I can’t fall asleep with it on, even though I’ve been trying for five months. Not a single night, even when I try to wear myself out. I have hypersensitive skin; I can’t stand being touched by anything remotely unusual. I’m so sensitive that I have to sleep naked because even the slightest contact with clothes suffocates me and keeps me awake all night long without getting a wink of sleep. So you can imagine what it’s like with a mask. They had to give me a very strong sedative so I could sleep during the sleep study.

I can also only sleep on my stomach with my head halfway down on the mattress, which isn't possible with any mask. No other position seems comfortable enough for me, not even on my side.

We’ve tried all sorts of settings and different masks, and nothing works. The clinic just tells me to keep trying. The worst part is that I don’t even feel stressed. I have no obligations, I can sleep at any hour without worrying about waking up, and I allow myself naps if really needed. So I don’t have that internal clock ticking away that can cause stress as wake-up time approaches.

I wear it just as often during the day, whether I'm doing other things or just relaxing without planning to sleep. But I just can't seem to get used to it when it comes to sleep.

I also tried using a sedative, but even that didn't work. But it's not a viable long-term solution anyway; I just wanted to give it a try.

So I’m starting to wonder: is CPAP really the right solution for someone like me? Since my symptoms are mild, so much so that the doctor didn’t even consider CPAP as a first-line treatment. I’m wondering if it’s really worth putting myself through such a struggle. I’ve spent so much time in bed this year unable to sleep that it’s started to affect other parts of my life. Yeah, it’s just not feasible to sleep 8 hours a day AND spend a few more hours trying to fall asleep before that with a machine on my head. It takes up way too much of my day.

Thank you for your time, your feedback, and any advice you may have.

Which mask was the game-changer for you?

I'm getting a CPAP machine next week, and it seems it can take a while for some people to get used to it, mainly because they have to find the right type of mask.

Since I’m very sensitive to sensory stimuli and easy to wake up, I’m a little worried about how hard it will be to adjust. Then, I’d like to know what type of mask finally allowed you to get some rest: nasal pillow/nasal, full-face, oral, etc.? If you also know the model, that could be useful too!

Also, if you have any tips or things you wish someone had told you before you got the machine, please don't hesitate to share them! 👍

Thank you for your time.
