Hello,

I am debating between getting 2026 Explorer ST right now while the Ford Employee Pricing Event is on, or waiting for the 2027 Explorer ST to come out.

The major hold back for me is the change between fixed roof (2026) and the moving roof (2027). Granted I don't really open the roof very often in my current vehicle, but I feel uneasy having the only year model where it does not open.

The wireless charger was also taken away in 2026 model, and I believe it is not returning in the 2027 either.

What do you guys think? Is the opening roof a big deal? The fixed roof looks nicer in view I think, it doesn't have that separation in middle from the opening mechanism.
