I recently bought a hybrid xle and the mpg is horrible… for the last 700 miles or so the mpg is sitting at just 24.3! I haven’t seen anyone get such low mpg on a non turbo hybrid. Rn the car has 2k Miles. I don’t drive crazy, mostly city driving with not particularly heavy traffic as I live in a smaller city. Not much highway driving. Hot weather ,it’s Florida. Says my avg speed is 26mph. Drive the speed limit and accelerate gently. Relatively flat with some small hills. Those should be ideal conditions for a hybrid! I had no issues getting 50mpg in a Camry hybrid,which was better than its stated mpg.

My mpg is so much lower than everyone else it makes me worried there might be something wrong with the vehicle itself. If the issue continues is there any way to get Toyota to remedy the issue or at least inspect the vehicle? Seems like a lemon if it’s performing almost 50% below stated specs.

For some reason the RAV4 prime is discounted everywhere I look? And they don’t necessarily sell out in advance. Best i see is 2 rav4 plugins discounted by 5k to around 41k and 42k.

This is kinda surprising to me because I remember that the rav4 plugin had crazy long wait lists and was super hard to get at msrp at least in 2023. Now the rav4 plugin gets more generous discounts than the base rav4? Are these not selling or something? Can I get an even bigger discount?

Hey I have a kinda specific question, trying to find out what the specific hybrid battery size is on the standard grand Highlander hybrid. It’s really hard to find this info online for some reason so maybe someone here knows. Online I see everything form 1khw to 1.3 to 1.8kwh.

The reason I want to know this is because I plan to use the car for car camping , so the bigger the hybrid battery the longer it will be able to idle and run the ac before the engine has to kick on. Meaning less engine wear,gas use and noise. I know the Sienna has a 1.9kwh hybrid battery and I’m trying to decide whether to just go with the Sienna instead.

Shame that only the rav4 and Prius have a plug in version. A plug in gh or sienna would be amazing. (Well ok there’s a plug in Tx but that thing is almost 90k 😅).
