School of rock is the perfect candidate for a rewatchables episode

I watched school of rock when I was 13 during the pandemic (I’m 19 now) and I remembered thinking Jack Black’s character Dewey was very funny. I rewatched it the other night and while his character is definitely funny and Jack Black did a great job in the movie, you gotta admit his character is an asshole.

I think that since his character is an asshole and a lot of the potholes of the movie (why did the parents not investigate more when they noticed their kids attitude’s were changing, how did he avoid check in’s from other school officials for several weeks, how was he not arrested after this was exposed, why were the parents no longer pissed after seeing the kids preform, why was battle of the bands at 10:00 AM on a school day) I could legit see Bill talking about this for 2+ hours. There’s also other interesting things he can talk about (Jack Black’s great performance making this guy somewhat likable when he’s not a great dude, the fact that most of the kids in the movie weren’t child actors previously because they wanted the kids to actually play the instruments). I also feel like there would be a lot of candidates for the Ruffalo overacting award
