Do schools look down on near perfect GPA, but multiple DAT Attempts? (Texas)

Hi, i’m applying next cycle, I have a 3.95 GPA but because I have to work to pay for school, I have only been taking 12 credits at a time. It should also be known that my school is kind of known to have a little bit of grade inflation problem…. I’m applying in Texas & also want to apply for HPSP, as of right now these are my practice score averages (I’ve done 7 tests). Clearly my ochem and pat scores are very low, (texas average is NOT like the rest of the US it’s a 460+), and of course I would love to be able to push back another month, however unfortunately that’s just not an option for me. (work, my hardest semester yet with 15 credits, president of 2 orgs, shadowing because i have only like 10 hours) and I wouldn’t be able to take it until next semester, end of spring.

Practice Test Averages
BIO: 480
GC: 420
OC: 380 ☹️
PAT: 370 ☹️
RC: 460
QR: 450
AA: 440
exam in 6 days lol

Money isn’t the issue for me, I won a raffle that paid for all of this so it’s free. So what is my best bet, taking it now and risking having to retake? Or just forfeiting the exam, work on weak areas when I have time, then study hard in the spring semester and take it before applying?

I just don’t want schools to be like. “well she had it chill with a 3.95 and 12 credit hours a semester, she should have scored higher on her first try.” Please be honest lol.

travlyn is the true slowburn, not aarmau (hot take of the day)

as controversial as they are, which i get it looking back but really that was no one’s fault but Jess’s flawed writing (like the whole kawaii~chan situation), travlyn is really the true slowburn ship. i mean it took like 3 years worth of series to make them actually canon😭, travis liked her since highschool, slowburn situationship, then we got back to friends who still obviously liked eachother, then slowburned our way through a fake relationship until it was canon. they took the same time to go on a singular real date as aphmau and aaron took to get freaking engaged yo. like as an avoidant attachment girl, i get it. travis never left her alone and that was exactly the kind of person she needed just like told him when he almost died. Obviously i think they could have been written better but they weren’t written with malicious intent and honestly it’s an amazing ship. i prefer it to aarmau because it felt more real and had more depth 🤷‍♀️

Also I just love when the independent strong girl ends up falling for some idiot funny twink. Most real life accurate Bi4Bi couple i’ve ever seen.
another edit: this goes (slightly less) but still goes for diaires too. i know travis main ship is with lucinda in diaires but i mean his whole plot is about not wanting to accept the relic/his magicks abilities because he wanted to live a life free on his own after being trapped by his parents issues for so long. i see the travcinda appeal like warlock x witch but idk i mean travis didnt want anything to do with that part of him and thats lucinda’s whole life. but im also a big advocate for lesbian lucinda so idk could be biased.

do i cancel my test or go for it (30 days away)

I’m aiming for a 440+ across the board, (TX Applicant). I was very lucky to have gotten my DAT paid for by a raffle win, but I won’t be applying until next cycle. I know I could reschedule it, but it would be during the hardest semester of my life this fall. (hard classes, shadowing, officer of predent org, my job) and i know realistically I wouldn’t be able to focus fully until christmas break, which would mean I’d have to pay for a whole new test bc it’s over the 6 months. (this time i would actually have to pay for my own DAT) Does it look bad if I take it just to not waste the opportunity even If i score in the 200-300 range and then retake if i need to? or will schools see my old 200-300 score and be like wow she didn’t even try.

as you can probably tell i have zero ochem foundation. I want to try Chads but I don’t know if I even have the time. PAT is definitely my weak spot, both timing and a lack of understanding on TFE & pattern folding, and i think the only reason i scored good on QR is because I had accidentally paused time when I came back from a phone call and didn’t unpause, so I had an extra ~7 minutes.

how cooked would i be if i guessed on ice tables & balancing redox rxns

My exam is a little less than a month away, and no matter how hard I try anything involving ice tables and balancing redox reactions is like a 50% chance of being correct, and it tends to consume many minutes of my time. I know the purpose of these problems is to consume time and stress you out, however, I was considering how high yield actually are they? For the sake of time would it be beneficial to skip if I can’t figure it out in 5 minutes? I’m aiming for a 440 more or less. If anyone has good tips for solving these fast let me know as well. On booster it’s asked a bunch in Qbanks so if it’s that high yield on the real test I guessed i’m screwed💀 everything on gen chem still needs work but it’s not my worst section or anything like that.

BC/Spironolactone not working

needed advice, it’s the worst on my stomach but i also do have it on my chin and other areas. i’ve been on 50mg spirnolactone for about a year, as well as high dose estrogen birth control. and nothing has changed.
