New but liking it so far!!

I had an older Lenovo m90n tiny PC laying around that I have been thinking it to making a home server and Plex machine.

I installed Linux Mint XFCE and its fast!! I may convert my windows desktop now!

My only laptop is a Chromebook and seems to get long well with it in the ecosystem

Do you time shift power use?

My local power utility wants to adopt TOU (time of use) type rates. This might mean you pay 15 cent per kwh at 3am when demand low but say 20 cents at 3pm on a hot day when demand high.

Just curious if anyone is using their batteries to reduce this by charging at night but running appliances off batteries during day?

Fire/health hazard?

I bought my first power unit the DP3 classic and use it inside a small apartment for tv, router, microwave during power outage.

I'm not a paranoid person but it does give me pause about the potential fire and health hazard if this thing goes south all sudden.

Curious what others think about this and how they reconcile it?

3/8-24 vs SO 239?

When shopping for triple mag mounts, I see both connectors available.

This is for a telescopic whip.

What's the advantage of each?

Can I use separate Ecoflow type batteries instead of centralized sys?

I am curious if a guy wanted to go solar panels if he could use many standalone power banks like the Ecoflow units but spread throughout the house in each room? Instead of a centralized battery bank that is more costly and complex?

Been watching tech videos on antennas from Palomar engineering.

Learning that an end fed that is off center is a really good option? I guess in essence that it's a non random end fed?

Any opinions on it or enlightment?
