Jack Edwards celebrity interviews

I am always amused when Jack Edwards asks celebrities what their favourite/recommended books are. Invariably it's a safe classic or modern classic book. I'm sure there are some celebrities out there reading classics, but what this tells me is that there is a *very good* chance you haven't read a book since high school.

For once, rich celebrity people, give me an interesting answer. I know you all aren't sitting on a Saturday night pulling out your copy of The Brothers Karamazov.

The Saturday Night Ghost Club by Craig Davidson

No spoilers

I just wanted to take a few seconds to review/recommend this book. It's a coming of age book that takes place in Canada during the 80s. It has great summer vibes, is a little bit spooky, and packs an emotional wallop. It looks like a YA book but it really isn't. It's also pretty short so you can read it all in a day. I was completely transfixed while reading and it made me tear up a few times. I thought the prose was beautiful as well. Craig Davidson also goes by the name Nick Cutter, which really surprised me when I looked him up after finishing the book!
