I need help understanding what speed and package is good.
Hi guys, I’ve recently moved into a flat in Boscombe and I’ve never had to set up broadband myself (21M). I don’t really have family or anyone to sort of help me through the process as they live in other countries or are in other areas of the UK.
From trying to wrap my head around it I can’t do virgin as they don’t cover my area. Other companies like EE and Vodaphone are avalable I believe.
What I’m trying to understand is the mbps speed compared to the cost of the package.
My question is what is a good WiFi speed to cover my 1 bed small flat for myself (rarely other people). I have 3 main devices which I use PS5 for gaming, Amazon fire stick for streaming and my phone for everyday usage.
My uncle seem to say I should be looking at packages that are between 300-500mbps due to the sharing of the WiFi my devices will have. Is this true?
What mbps are other people on and how many devices do you use?
What costs should I be expecting so I know I’m not being ripped off?
