1320 Deaths

A pretty rough year for the sidehouseholds. Poor Rohan ended up a widower after losing a son the previous decade (1319) and he lost his daughter. So far his youngest Hugh is doing well! Our main household lost our gen 2 heir Bennet to the dreaded age up roll (good riddance he was a jerk) and one of the triplets didn't make it past toddlerhoold (RIP Floria). Zelmira did try and plead for Floria but Grim was being a little jerk and said no :(

The updated tree is here if you're interested. I also started to work on a youtube channel where I'm testing out editing videos specifically with this family. I'll probably end up making a family that's dedicated to just playing for youtube instead after I accidentally created a 2hr video the other day, and it's pretty rough to begin with right now but I'm having fun. If anyone is interested in that you can check it out here.

I'm currently already in 1331 and so far have had two babies survive in side household rolls! Very excited for where this family keeps going!

Ignore the blue tape I have to tape the plastic back down so the cats don’t get all their fur in the drills but ugh I looove this so far

I have very limited space and my desk isn’t wide enough. What do people do when they have this issue? Getting a bigger work space is not an option so please don’t suggest that. Also ignore the mess the cats made knocking stuff off my shelves to make a bed. Jerks lol. I’m thinking keep the finished side towards me just because I’m worried the cats gonna mess with it if it’s by her tree but idk if that’s even a good option.

First off it’s round which I hate but it’s old and I was trying to clear out my old inventory but I also feel like it’s too small and just doesn’t look good. Idk.

Slowly working through the back log of old canvases I had so I can do the new ones I have firm ArtDot and Oraloa. This one was an old Paint Gem canvas so naturally it was super easy to work with. I did have to add some glue around the edges to make sure it stuck properly but otherwise it was a quick finish. Basically a week working a few hours here and there after work.

The current patriarch failed his age up and I rolled to have him live for 14 days because I like to give them a little chance to live a few days (plus his wife was pregnant and I wanted to see if I had to have James ready to take over for his brother or if they would have a son and they had a son so James is still on stand by but like I can start looking for his wife a little more seriously as well). Now I'm not sure if I want to roll to save Bennet or if I have their infant son and James on stand by to take over if need be. Bennet and Zelmira have 5 surviving kids right now with only one being a boy and it's currently 1323 so pretty far out from the plague coming around to build up sidehouseholds with all the daughters (right now I have three sidehouseholds but I'll be releasing the older ones from gen 1 off to do what they want to do themselves once the kids get to young adult in those households since I have an heir and a spare and gen 2's eldest side household just started out and is on their way to having babies)

The reason I'm debating it is for a few reasons. Reasons to try and save him would be the fee to keep children, it's $250 PER child and they have FIVE surviving kids AND the tallage is coming up and while I'm really lucky on these birth rolls I'm terrible at my tax % rolls and they always end up crazy high. I'm not sure if she can afford to keep all her kids if Bennet dies and I'd be so sad to lose them all aside from the son (because I can't just lose him that'd ruin things)

Reasons against trying to save him is that he's a JERK and every time they go to have woohoo I have to make him apologize first for whatever he did to his wife when I was trying to make sure the kids aren't starving and are helping around the farm and aren't wandering into trouble. He's evil and he's difficult to work with because of it. (I think he also may or may not have flirted with the midwife while she was having their triplets but they have negative relationships so now I can't tell)

I was bummed cause my current heir failed his young adult age up and is going to die in 14 days and I was like 'there goes my luck' but then his wife just gave birth to triplets and she survived every labor with the added numbers AND all three babies survived including their first son! I'm absolutely SCREAMING I'm so excited!
