If people say don't get into electrical engineering just for the money, what jobs should you get into if you want to make $300k+ per year?
People say engineers typically don't make more than $200k even at major companies, so what other high paying jobs are out there? The pay in consulting and investment banking pay is similar to electrical engineering jobs even though people in those fields work like 80 hours per week.
How do you deal with being raised soft and being unsuitable for special operations?
I never grew up doing chores or hard labor or playing sports. I am 24 now, so what do I do? People here like to say you don't need to play sports or have a tough childhood to get into special operations, but 90% of people in special operations played sports through high school and had tough childhoods.
How do you get a job at ULA?
I studied electrical engineering at UCI, and I got zero internships and got denied from every engineering club there. Obviously, I am not very desirable for companies. I don't know what I did wrong though because I worked hard in college. So what do I do? I want to work in defense and national security, but I just can't get a single opportunity.
If doctors say private equity and big hospital systems make healthcare expensive, why isn't healthcare cheaper in the small private practices?
So many doctors on Reddit brag about how private practices are better, but every single one I have been to rushes through appointments even more and charges even higher bills. Doctors say only 10% of healthcare spending goes to doctors, but it feels like doctors don't want to reduce the costs for the other 90% too.
Why do doctors believe they can be top lawyers or engineers with minimal effort?
The stereotype that doctors are arrogant didn't come for no reason. They love being arrogant while they are scamming patients with giant medical bills. So many doctors online say they wished they went into computer science or finance because they would of easily been top performers in those fields with way less effort compared to the effort needed to be a mediocre doctor. So many unironically believe that, which is comical when those fields require vastly different skills. I know people in investment banking, and they work 100 hours per week and still make less than doctors. I wish doctors didn't make such ignorant statements.
Why is medicine the only field where lack of transparency is a good thing?
I am not asking for medical advice. So many doctors want to go back to how it was in the 1900s where doctors had complete power over patients, hide diagnoses from them, force them to get surgeries or medications they don’t want, slap patients during appointments, and so on. So many doctors believe they have the power over everyone else solely based on their education and training, and it’s so scary how doctors don’t seem to care about patients at all.
How do I deal with doctors complaining about low pay when patients pay so much to the healthcare system?
You see it all the time on Reddit about how doctors complain they are underpaid and how they wish they could bill patients more. It’s frustrating when they say that when doctors make more money than basically any other profession. Most doctors live in homes that cost millions of dollars and drive nice cars. They scream about wanting to lower taxes, yet so many people on Reddit think doctors are working class people that are chronically underpaid and struggling
How was I supposed to get an engineering job at Boeing right out of college?
In college, I got rejected from every internship. I couldn’t land any jobs after college as a result. When I was in college, I couldn’t get into any engineering clubs either to help me get experience because clubs like DBF or FSAE are highly selective. How do I deal with this? What did I do wrong? Did I just lack intelligence or what?
Why do people say there is no such thing as a bad doctor?
You see it online all the time. Doctors argue there is no such thing as a bad doctor. They argue only doctors should be allowed to serve in trial for medical lawsuits because only have medical knowledge. Doctors will never criticize the medical decisions of another doctor even if it was a complete misdiagnosis. It’s weird that this is the only field where people assume there is no such thing as incompetence. In engineering and law, people talk about incompetent engineers and lawyers all the time. Yet, medicine is someone a socialist world where everyone is successful
