Scared of hypoxia (air hunger)

I’ve flown quite a bit as i’m living in a different country than my home country, and all this time I never thought i’d need to worry about not being able to breathe.
On a recent trip back from holiday, I felt extremely unsettled, dry mouth, couldn’t keep my eyes open, gastric upset, and almost as if i couldn’t sit still comfortably.

Which i now knew are due to being hypoxic on the flight.

The journey TO the holiday destination was fine, took 4.5 hours and i felt completely fine. But the journey back was terrifying. I started feeling better as the plan began its decent. I don’t have any known lung issues, recently completed full checkup (before trip) and my only issues are sometimes elevated blood pressure.

My friend who is in healthcare believes that it could be due to the activities that i’d done on holiday. I don’t usually smoke but I did on this holiday (a lot), was drinking for most of the week there as it was a celebration, fatigued from lack of sleep and definitly didn’t hydrate well enough for the circumstances. Which she believed contributed to the lack of oxygen being transported in my blood.

Research showed that all of those things could easily influence the discomfort on the flight back, but I’m due to visit my family on a longer flight (8 hrs) in a few weeks and i’m terrified of it happening again. I’m terrified that i’ll be mid-flight and can’t breathe and will require oxygen to make it to my destination.

Any advice?

Thoughts on a Personal loan???

Changed jobs a few months ago to something i’m passionate about which resulted in a bit of growing debt as I had to take a pay cut for about 5 Months while on training.

I had three credit cards that were maxed out, i paid the capital one off last year then cut it up and tossed the card, closed the account…the second is at £4050 with 20% APR. Third is on a 0% transfer card for 33 months so i’m not too worried about it, easily paying the minimums. also have a car loan which is on track to end next year (end).

I’m on track for salary increase sometime soon, but until then i feel like im drowning in debt. I’m considering taking a small personal finance loan at a rate of 8.9% to pay off the £4050 (close this CC account down as well) and put the remainder toward my car loan for lower monthly payments ideally, so i’d have more overall funds.

I feel like this is a bit all over the place but i’m honestly trying to do what’s smartest, carrying on this way will probably lead to more debt in the future. I’ve been pretty good at not racking up any more once i adjusted my spending to my new salary.

TLDR- Should I take out a personal loan (8.9%APR) to pay off a 4K credit card balance (20% APR)

Weekly Payment Scheme

Can someone explain how the weekly payment scheme for Overtime etc works within LAS? Considering you have to submit your timesheets, it’s technically not weekly is it?

And why are so many in the trust against it? (generally most i’ve interacted with actually hate it)
