This is kind of a dumb theory with very little evidence, but I think it would be fun.

I think it would be kind of cool and make sense if Cyclops punch dimension eye portals are literally placed in the eyeballs of the god Cyttorak. I know the punch dimensions canonicity in the main comic universe is questionable, though a lot of people already theorize that the Crimson Cosmos is just the punch dimension since they have very similar qualities.

My main reasonings are mostly that Cyttorak is commonly depicted as having glowing red eyes and that Scott’s beams are so powerful the portals must be located somewhere that is a strong source of kinetic energy, and what’s stronger than the body of its literal god. Also since sometimes Cyttorak is also depicted with pitch black eyes I like to think Scott’s portals somewhat act like cataracts on him and that causes him to be completely blind or gives him bad eyesight because of it. Yet he can still “see” by sensing the kinetic energy of things around him.

I’m kind of hopeful that one day we could see a full remake of these games as fully fleshed out premium titles. Really mostly for shadows because I find the character designs and concept really interesting. With some companies like Square Enix turning Final Fantasy Brave Exvius into a full game with Final Fantasy Resonance, part of me hopes we can give these games a chance to shine without the garbage of the FtP model.

So DQXII got a new trailer today and the new MC seems to be showing some very similar traits to Ryu. The fact that this dragon like character has bery similar clothing and hairstyle to the MC as well as the exact same sword seems to point of them being the same character. Also the dragon that he fights at the end of the trailer also has some suspiciously human hair and armor.
