I was told to post here. I have to types of bugs that show up regularly in my room, someone said one of them could be carpet beetle larvae.
These are these small worm like things, around 0.5-2mms long, and they leave these skin-like things behind (the one on my finger).
Are these carpet beetles, and if yes, what does that mean exactly? Are they harmful?
These two types of bugs regularly show up in my room, and I'd like to know what they are.
There are many things stored in my room, and it gets very warm in the summers so my window is open a lot, but I don't think they come in from the outside, it feels like they just spawn in when there's more dust in an area, but I've only ever really seen them in my room.
For context, I live in Hungary, and in a flat on the 8th floor of a building, my room is neighboured by our toilet, another bedroom, the outside and an outer wall connecting two different buildings, and I do know there must be some kind of cracks in that outer wall, because in winter the year before (2024/25) we got ants that came from those walls.
They are both very small, the worm like thingie is just like 2 mms or so, the other one is shown on the picture, it's like a linenseed both in size and appearance but it has wings and can fly.
What are they? Should I be worried they'll turn into something worse, or harm our health?
