I couldn't take a picture since I didn't have it on me but it landed on my hand while gardening. it was SUPER tiny, like smaller (?) than a BB pellet. The dark brown parts are patterns btw
I live in Massachusetts and have been seeing this bug lately. I have never seen it before and am curios as to what it is. (its not me holding it by the wing in the photo)

it was flying around for a while before I guided it out the window but out of curiosity is it generally harmless?
Sorry for the grain in some pictures, zoom on my phone's camera is not the best. I only spotted this guy or girl because it flew right in front of me and I almost stepped on it. I tried to use Seek by iNaturalist, but it kept trying to ID the plant instead of the mantis. Flash was on because it was around 8:00 PM when I saw it.
Location is central Missouri.
