What am I doing wrong to gain reach on Tumblr?

I see posts doing better than mine in the same tag, posted around the same time…

The quality doesn’t seem to matter. There have been posts I have made where I put 0 effort and it gained traction. Whereas posts I put actual effort into get none.

What is going on here? 🥲
