My first few FMF recipes ever!

Blueberry and carrot muffins, both with farm fresh fruits and veggies. And a loaf of sourdough, a bit gummy, but overall pretty happy for my first go around! As well as some delicious pizza. Let me know if you have any favourite foods/recipes to make with FMF!

Needing a new little travel buddy, what do you suggest?

I have had this camera for a very very long time and got it from my parents. It still has photos on it from 2008. However, it’s starting to crack and break in spots and doesn’t work as well as it once did. But i love the way the photos look, and the videos it takes. Very old and vintage and has a date stamp. Sometimes it won’t turn on and sometimes won’t take photos, and the sd card and battery opening is cracked and keeps falling apart when I open it. What can I buy nowadays that will have the same look and feel as the old one I love so much?? TIA!!

Hen or roo?

Ayam cemani x silkie mix. I think hen. Anybody else have any thoughts? Also, anyone know what color that mix would normally lay?? About 14 weeks old. It’s the smallest chicken I have. (Even out of 6 that are only 10 weeks old)

First time chicken owner. First really hot day. A little worried if I should be doing more?

My chickens are now 10-13 weeks old. This is the first really hot day we’ve had since we got them. What all can I do to keep them cool. They have access to shade inside the coop and on one side of their run. But they are all open mouth panting like crazy. They have lots of food and water. I just gave them frozen strawberry tops in cold water for something to peck at. Any other common suggestions? And should I be concerned about the heavy panting, or is it normal on a hot day. TIA!

First time using brooder plate instead of heat lamp

Does this setup look okay for the brooder plate? It’s nice and warm under and I do have a heat gun/thermometer. Just want to know if the height and everything seems alright. It’s these chicks first day here. They just ate and drank and now they’re napping! I have another set of 5 week old chicks in a larger enclosure with a heat lamp off to one side and I really like how that set up has worked, but wanted to try this too. Looking for advice on the setup of it and also on how I should integrate my chicks together In a few weeks!
