Is this cocoa butter safe to use? (Insects in bag)
Edit: Threw it out unused. Thanks everyone!
I bought this cocoa butter for a project a year ago and it has been sitting in my pantry every since. There's a few small dead bugs at the bottom of the bag. Didn't see any near the top of the bag. It's going to be hard for me to replace the cocoa butter so I wanted to find out if I could still use it? Planning to add some to white chocolate I'm caramelizing on the stove top, and also wanted to steep some chamomile in melted cocoa butter and combine with white chocolate to make chamomile flavored chocolate.
