i wish our romantic orientation wasn't so unknown

when i tell people about it, they don't get it, and if i say i love myself, they automatically assume it's just self-love and not romantic, even when i'm like no, i love myself even more than that. i feel like it's also just hard for them to understand so if we were more well known and people saw our content they would get it a bit more. hopefully maybe in the future. most people already know about being gay and bi and asexual, and some know about being aromantic, but not a lot really go look into the specific aromantic-y or not necessarily aromantic orientations but the ones that are grouped under aromantic because they're different from the norm of romantic attraction. it also seems that autosexuality is kinda a teeny bit known, but not autoromance, it is much less known. i wish it was more equal because it feels like straight people cannot even imagine or picture being romantically attracted to oneself and how that kind of connection and bond works and would be. it also seems like a lot of people do not know that romantic orientations even exist and it's just sexual orientations. but thank you for sharing your experiences here because it helps me a lot and i really like it
