Just ordered my first Vespa! Looking for the perfect helmet and exhaust. 🛵

After months (days) of thinking about it, I finally pulled the trigger and ordered a Vespa Sprint S 125 in Verde Ribelle. 🛵

The plan is to spend a lot of time cruising through the beautiful Flemish Ardennes here in Belgium, so I'm trying to get everything right from the start.

Now I'm looking for advice from experienced Vespa riders:

  • Helmet: I'm after something that's retro, premium quality, comfortable and quiet. At the moment I'm looking at the Shoei Glamster, Bell Bullitt and Arai Concept-XE, but I'm open to other suggestions.
  • Exhaust: I'd like something that gives the Sprint a deeper, more characterful sound, without being obnoxiously loud. Any recommendations? Akrapovič, Malossi, Polini, LeoVince... or should I just keep the stock exhaust?

I'd love to hear what you're using on your Vespa and, if possible, see some photos of your setup.

Looking forward to joining the Vespa community! 💚

Still Can’t Decide: Darkroom vs Photomator vs Nitro Photo in 2026?

I’m still stuck choosing between Darkroom, Photomator, and Nitro Photo and I honestly keep going back and forth.

My setup is fully inside the Apple ecosystem (iPhone, Mac, iCloud Photos), and I really want something that feels native and works well with Apple Photos instead of building a huge separate Lightroom-style catalog.

Here’s where I’m at right now:

  • Darkroom feels the cleanest and fastest. I love the UI and the mobile-first workflow, but I’m worried I might outgrow it if I start doing more serious RAW editing.
  • Photomator seems like the best balance between simplicity and power. The AI tools and Apple Photos integration look amazing. But I keep reading concerns about the future after the Apple acquisition, and that honestly makes me hesitate.
  • Nitro Photo looks the most “pro” and future-proof. I like the philosophy behind it and the Aperture influence. But it also seems more complex, and I’m not sure if it’s overkill for my needs.

What I mostly edit (on iPhone 17 pro and iPad Pro m5):

  • iPhone photos
  • occasional RAW files from my Fuji X-T3 and iPhone
  • landscape/street/lifestyle photography
  • I prefer speed and simplicity, but I also don’t want to hit limitations in a year

For people who have actually used these apps long term:

  • Which one did you stick with?
  • What made you choose it?
  • Any regrets switching away from Lightroom?

Would love to hear real-world experiences before I commit to one workflow.
