When I bought my new house I didn't know what was growing in the backyard. But it appears to almost 500 dollars worth of peonies growing back there. I want to make a flower arrangement with them for a party im going to have in the next few weeks.

Any advice how to cut them without killing the whole plant?

Edit: They are Herbaceous peonies btw
