My Journey Into Collecting CF
Thought I’d share my journey into reps and the collection I’ve built over the last 2 1/2 years.
Back in November 2023, I walked into Rolex and put my name on the waiting list for a Blue Datejust 36. After a few months went by, I decided to go down the rabbit hole and research who made the best replica of the watch I wanted.
In January 2024, I bought my first Clean Factory Datejust 36. I instantly fell in love with it and ended up buying three more. Fast forward to today, and I now own 18 Clean Factory watches (yes, they’re all real, and the majority were purchased before Clean shut down 😂).
About 70% of these were purchased from reputable TDs such as Steve (TheOneWatches), Jtime, and Geektime. The rest came from trusted resellers like CtrlAltRep, Mo-Time, and a few others.
I know a lot of people are going to ask, “Why only Clean Factory?” And the answer is pretty simple. Over the last 2 1/2 years, I bought a few VSF pieces to try them out, but I ultimately found myself preferring Clean Factory. No deeper reason than that.
One of the best parts of this hobby has been the people I’ve met along the way. This community has been nothing but great to me, and some of those connections have even turned into lifelong friendships.
