College wise analysis

Guys. Since it is a herculean task to properly research every college before counseling starts, can we write our individual college experiences here and turn this into some kind of a megathread? It will become easier for everyone.

What we can include:

fee structure (category wise)

overall college environment (toxicity, etc)

hostel facilities/ if there are PGs nearby

best/ worst departments

patient flow

anything else that comes to mind.

Proposal for the neet petition.

After seeing all the discussion on this sub today, I have a genuine proposal.

The petitioners say they are fighting for transparency, and if that's what they genuinely believe in, they have every right to pursue legal remedies. However, what concerns me is that there seems to be no consensus even among the petitioners themselves, yet decisions that could potentially affect every NEET MDS candidate, such as seeking a postponement of counselling (which, from what I've read, was discussed among them) are being considered without consulting the larger student community.

Many of us have already been waiting for months. Whether someone supports or opposes the petition, decisions that impact thousands of candidates shouldn't be taken by a small group on behalf of everyone without knowing what the majority actually wants.

So here's my proposal: if the objective is transparency, can the petition be framed in a way that only the answer sheets of the students who voluntarily join the petition are analysed? Anyone who wants to seek transparency can become a petitioner and pursue the legal process. Those who are not interested should not automatically become part of litigation or face the consequences never agreed to.

This way, everyone gets to exercise their own legal rights without imposing the consequences on others.

Curious to hear everyone's thoughts. Please keep the discussion civil.

NEET MDS PETITION.

I wanted to share my experience with the NEET MDS court petition WhatsApp group because I think prospective members deserve to know how it was handled.

When I was first added to the group, the admins announced that members who did not make a monetary contribution would be removed because the group had reached its limit. I found this odd because another WhatsApp group could easily have been created, but I genuinely believed the petition was being run in good faith, so I contributed.

A few days later, someone forwarded a voice note from our CEDEES faculty into the group. Instead of a constructive discussion, many members started calling him "spineless," "a coward," "a disgrace," and other insults because he hadn't taken a more public stand on the issue. When some people defended him, the admins warned that they would be removed from the group. That was the first time I felt uncomfortable with how dissent was being handled.

After today's court hearing, I learnt that the lawyer had requested postponement of counselling. This came as a complete surprise to me. From the beginning, I believed the purpose of the petition was to seek transparency in the evaluation process, not to delay counselling. As far as I know, there was never any discussion in the group asking petitioners whether they agreed with seeking postponement.

I simply asked in the group why this decision had been taken and whether it had been discussed with the petitioners beforehand. Within minutes, I was removed from the group.

I then messaged one of the admins privately to ask why I had been removed and why the lawyer had sought postponement. I did not receive an explanation that addressed my questions. Since I no longer had confidence in how the petition was being handled, I asked for my contribution to be refunded. The response I received was a condescending voice note stating that this was "not a business" or a service being provided to me, and that my money would be returned. (which it was)

I'm not posting this to discourage anyone from seeking transparency. I still believe transparency is important. What concerns me is the way this particular group appears to operate. In my experience, questioning decisions was not welcomed, major decisions affecting the petition did not appear to be discussed with contributors beforehand, and members who asked questions could simply be removed.

If you're considering contributing to or joining such initiatives, I would encourage you to ask questions, seek clarity about how decisions are made, and ensure there is genuine accountability before offering your support.

I have used chat gpt to add structure to my thoughts, since I am very distressed rn.

options with rank 4***

My rank is around 4000 range. What are some realistic options for me? financially, the maximum I can afford is private A category colleges. I am also okay with non clinical departments (except OP). Can someone please help me out

Colleges

Guys, I was thinking right, and what I thought is that since all of us have obviously been thru bds in many colleges, we have seen the staff in every dept, and how toxic or good they are. Can all of us get together and create a list of colleges and how the vibe is in each dept so we know what we're getting into? and what things to avoid doing so that the staff don't get pissed off? ykwim. Every dept has its own quirks and if we all list them out we can be better prepared.

NEET MDS NOTES

Selling my personal handwritten NEET MDS notes!

These are the exact notes I studied from during my preparation, and they genuinely helped me a lot throughout the journey. The notes are extremely detailed and organized, with high-yield points, important tables, flowcharts, diagrams, and pictures to make studying and memorizing easier.

They cover concepts taught in CEEDEES lectures in a concise but exam-oriented way, making revision and retention much more effective. A lot of effort and time has gone into making them.

A free preview is also available for you to make an informed decision:)

Available subject-wise / full package.

DM if interested!

This was my second attempt, and I literally gave it everything. I stopped hanging out with my friends, stopped doing my hobbies, idk. Gave all my time to this exam. And now, after giving the paper, I've been so depressed. I feel like I completely messed it up. I haven't been able to relax. I've just been crying since 2 days. All my contemporaries are out and earning and living their lives. It's just so hard to see all that and then see the situation I am in. I have no one to talk to about this anymore too. Just feel hopeless and like giving up atp.
