1929 Coleman Quick-Lite – Is this an original green #307 ribbed shade?
I recently picked up this Coleman Quick-Lite table lamp. The fount is stamped 9 12 (December 1929).
I’m trying to determine whether the green ribbed glass shade is an original Coleman #307 shade or a later reproduction/replacement.
The shade is approximately 10” in diameter with a 4.5” top opening. It is green over white/cased glass. There is a very small chip along the lower rim that exposes the white glass underneath.
I found modern reproduction 10” green ribbed shades, but the lower rim/profile appears noticeably thicker on the reproduction than on mine.
The shade holder is also pictured in case that helps determine whether the shade and holder are period-correct to the lamp.
I’d really appreciate opinions from anyone familiar with original Coleman #307 shades. Are there specific molding, rim, glass construction, color, or dimensions that distinguish an original?
Thank you!
