Butterfly 🦋 House Completed

This was such a fun little build. It’s only about 6” tall, but has a lot of cute details. Mods were edge painting, added color to the chair, back desk & cabinet and picture frames, swapped out the 2D hanging planter with a 3D that I had. I almost swapped out the kitty for a dog, but decided to keep the kitty. I wish I had some confidence with painting small models because I would have liked to paint a calico kitty, maybe next time! The kit materials were plentiful and I have a lot of vines left over for another day, woohoo! No mishaps except for the toppled glass of wine while I was cleaning up, oh well 🙄

Butterfly House 🦋

This is so cute I can’t wait to finish! Doing a few mods, edge painting and adding some color rather than just brown and replacing a very few 2d with 3d, but having fun.

Sunset Isle Fini

I’m so happy with this build! As everyone said, it’s a very peaceful build and the results are stunning. I do have three little 3D seagulls in the way which I will use to replace the 2D ones, I edge painted everything, I made (and promptly discarded, see sad result in comments) the original plant beside the table and replaced with a 3D purchased online, I will also add some leaves to add dimension once I get the little seagulls, but very pleased with results, this one makes me smile 😊 And don’t laugh at my video skills, I need a few lessons

The Lantern of Galaxy

This was such an unexpected fun build! I ordered this because I thought it looked cool, but didn't expect the quality to be so high. The pieces fit together well, didn't have any problems. The lighting/electronics package was top notch with two AA batteries. The instructions weren't in color, but were very well done and I had no issues following. I'll post another picture in the comments of the box and also of the very cool crystal ball that was installed in the top of the lantern. I didn't really do any mods except edge painting and added a feather for the ink pot. The touch control has off-music/lights/movement-music off, and there is a separate switch to turn off the battery pack. I found this on W+, but I'm sure it's available other places if you're interested.

Why did I never know this? 🤦‍♀️

I just started a new kit today (The Lantern of Galaxy, great build so far) and it came with a small 15ml tube of B7000 adhesive WITH A BUILT IN PRECISION TIP!!! The cap comes with a built in needle that keeps the tube from clogging. I’m so excited!! Really cut down on the strings that inevitably happen. Who would have known my mind would be blown today by a tiny tube of glue, hah!

Candy Adventure from Cuteroom

I love these teeny tins, this is my fifth. I really like the cartoonish look of this one with the layered cutout leaves. I’ve learned a lot from doing these tinies and those “patience” skills really help with the nooks. No mods on this little kit, I just follow the directions like a good girl!

Anavrin Paris Build

I finished this build a few weeks ago and am FINALLY getting around to posting about it. I did quite a few mods to this and relied heavily on some amazing posts from my fellow nookers on this sub. So my mods included painting all exposed edges, added u/pluck-the-bunny special package (find the rabbit, not really hidden, but makes me smile), added an ashtray & burning cigarette (another tidbit borrowed), added a picture of my mom taken in the 40's per u/dgidman as the big picture, added stickers to the side that mean something to me, added a gold tiara on the couch (a nod to my princess ambitions, LOL), and changed the drum face to represent a band that my nephew played in about 15 years ago (hated their music, but still proud of him). I loved the build and the first time I turned on the lights I was blown away by how real it looked, Anavrin did a great job with the design. One thing I won't show you is my attempt at gold leafing the stage roof, didn't work out really well and decided the nightclub just had a really bad water leak and never repaired it. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Currently working on my prize from the Tonecheer event, the Toast Bakery. Not really modding that kit, needed a breather.

Wiring Question

I’m working on the Rolife Christmas Eve kit. It has a single LED that runs to a AAA battery pack. I’ve ordered Evan Designs 12 light 3V Christmas lights. Can I twist the ends of these lights with the single LED & attach both to the battery pack plug? I hope that made sense, not great with the actual names of these parts!

Upgrade Light Fixture

I’m modifying this Rolife kit to give to my sister and want to zhuzh up the light fixture. I don’t want to tackle rewiring but am looking for ideas to add some Christmas sparkle. The mods I’m doing will add gold to “decountrify” the kit, lots of gold ornaments to tree, gold trim on the tablecloth, adding a 3d garland, wreath, teddy bear, adding a pillow & some other items to personalize. Any ideas?
