Swedish participants needed for a study on bilingualism 🗣️✨

Maybe a bit off-topic, but I'll try my luck anyway.

I'm an Italian PhD student in Psychology and Linguistics, currently also a visiting PhD student at the University of Lund.

I'm conducting a study that investigates the associations that come to mind when we think about a word in our second language.

I'm looking for Swedish native speakers who also speak English as a second language for an online experiment.

A bit more information about it:

  • It lasts around 60 minutes (I know it's a lot, but I promise I wil be grateful forever)
  • It's completely anonymous and has been approved by the local ethics committee of my home University (more information in the consent form at the beginning of the study).
  • Your data will be compared to that of two more groups of participants: Italian-English bilinguals and English native speakers. We expect that different patterns of language use and exposure will influence the way you do the task.
  • To participate, you need to be aged 18 to 65, and have no learning disorder (like dyslexia).

Here is the link to participate: https://www.labvanced.com/player.html?id=81651

If you have any questions, doubts, or you just want to get in touch, you can find me here or at beatrice.lanzini@englund.lu.se.

Tack så mycket (in advance)!

English native speakers needed for a study on bilingualism 🗣️✨

Hello everyone!

I'm a PhD student in Psychology, Linguistics and Cognitive Neuroscience.

I'm looking for English native speakers (monolingual, ideally) for an online study on bilingualism.

The study investigates the associations that come to mind when we are presented with an English word. The same study has been administered to Swedish-English bilinguals and Italian-English bilinguals, aiming to analyse different patterns of associations across groups.

As an English native speaker, your performance will serve as a benchmark of comparison against that of bilinguals who speak English as a second language.

The study lasts between 45 and 75 minutes (there's a lot of variation depending on how fast you are), and it can be done by adults (>18 years old) without any learning disorders (no dyslexia, unfortunately).

Here is the direct link to the experiment: https://www.labvanced.com/player.html?id=82447

If you have any questions or doubts, please don't hesitate to get in touch.

Thank you all so much in advance: your contribution is super valuable!

Swedish native speakers needed!

Maybe a bit of an off-topic, and I apologise for that!

I'm an Italian PhD student, currently also a visiting PhD student in Lund.

I'm looking for Swedish native speakers who also speak decent English (so anyone, as far as I understand) for an online study on bilingualism. You also need to be 18 or older!

The study investigates the associations that come to mind when we are presented with a word in a language that is not our native one.

Full disclosure: It lasts around 60 minutes, and I wasn't given any funding to give participants any rewards, so I'm aware I'm asking for some commitment and a lot of selflessness. That's just one reason more why I would be so very grateful to anyone considering participating.

Here is the direct link to the experiment: https://www.labvanced.com/player.html?id=81651

If you have any questions or doubts, please don't hesitate to get in touch (here, or at my institutional email beatrice.lanzini@englund.lu.se)

Thank you all so much in advance!
