Why’s only one sunflower facing the right way?

My 14ft monster only has one flower that follows the sun.

I can see my sunflower from the second floor

I never grew a sunflower so tall but my goal was to have a gigantic sunflower head. Any tips to get a single large head? I was going to pick all the extra heads in between the levees but once I saw how tall it was getting just let it be. (7a/b)

How do I stop him?

A swallowtail butterfly on my dill yesterday and this morning a caterpillar on my fennel I have a greenhouse, chicken wire, nets to protect my veggie and fruit garden but how do I stop them other than learning how to better share?

Update: I would never think about killing them or not sharing but they are eating everything…

Someone finally made a useful tip and suggested I plant another host plant I do not eat and I’m already looking into it.
