Why are Utah Mormons so obsessed with their houses?
I've lived a lot of places in my life and have been in Utah for 25 years. There seems to be a competition among the Mormons to see who can show the biggest display of wealth by having the biggest/newest/home. Their whole identity is based on their home. One of my neighbors just tore down their $2,000,000 perfectly inhabitable home because it was built in the 1990's and that was not "new enough" anymore. Can anyone explain why they're like this here?

If Oaks dies before the Mormon Stories lawsuit is settled, does the lawsuit go away or will the next prophet follow through?
