Back in December I had pain in my right calf, I thought it was muscular, but after a few days it didn't pass, long story short went to the doc, and even thought I had no other symptoms in that moment he took it seriously and sent me for tests, result double DVT, I was put on Eliquis right away.

Couple months ago I had a follow up, and he said the clots were most likely gone, back in December he didn't told me about my D-dimer, I didn't even knew it was a thing, but on my follow up he said that my D-dimer was 19 456 back in December and now it was at 600ish.

He decided to leave me on blood thinner for life, and he think my contraceptif caused the clots.

I didn't realise how high my D-dimer was until I joined this sub and realise that 19k is pretty fucking high, and I'm like how am I alive right now?

And thinking back I had other symptoms before the calf pain, I just didn't realised it was connected.
