AI workflows for an in house lawyer

I work in house and I’m trying to properly learn how to build legal AI workflows. I have done a few basic ones for NDA‘s and amendment agreements but I want to learn how to create structured workflows and agents that can apply SLAs, extract clauses, and generate consistent output etc.

I have read a few threads on this post, and I feel so behind in my knowledge and technical ability.

So far, everything I’ve learned has been self taught by experimenting with Copilot building small agents, and reading whatever I can find online. It’s been helpful, but I want to knuckle down over the next month and learn this properly and systematically. So if anyone out here is the AI legal workflow king or queen please let me know how you learnt and what resources you used. I don’t even mind paying for the training.

Thanks!

Inspera

Has anyone else had Inspera crash repeatedly on Macbook today? I started the F&B skills exam today for the PSC. I attempted to sit the exam three times and each time within 20 minutes the proctor software made my laptop completely freeze and crash. Totally disheartening . I emailed BPP and their IT told me that this is a regular problem that they have with this software and Macbook 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫.

If this has happened to anyone in the past what did the course provider do in terms of alternative arrangements? Appreciate its the weekend now and no one’s gonna get back to me by Monday but I’m really stressing out as I just wanted to get this completed today.

Hiring managers…. A question

For those who are involved in recruitment or head your own department, do you find it annoying or helpful when a potential candidate emails you directly?

I saw a post on LinkedIn yesterday…… head of legal looking to expand his team. I saw his email on the company website where I found the application link and was contemplating whether to reach out directly or not. Any thoughts?

For those who have passed the AIGP and the CIPP/E

Hello Everyone, I’m thinking of taking the AIGP and CIPP/E exams soon. For those who’ve passed;

  1. Did you self study? If so, what resources did you use?
  2. If No, Are there any reputable course providers that you could recommend ?
3 if you’ve done CIPP/E too, does the order matter for a lawyer?

Thanks! 🙏

Police clearance to use in UK

I need some help please

I have applied for a police clearance that needs to be used in the UK for membership to a professional body. I uploaded the letter from the UK professional body requesting the Police Certificate. It got rejected on Metrash with the citation “missing documents” but they don’t make it clear which document is required. Did anyone experience this?

Online Professional Skills Course

I have just received confirmation that my Equivalent Means application has been granted, and I’ve been told I only need to complete the three core PSC modules. There isn’t much detail on the SRA website, so I’m checking whether anyone else in a similar position only completed the core modules (no electives).

My second issue is scheduling. I’m based outside the UK and work fulltime, so realistically I can only attend online evening or weekend sessions. ULaw and BPP seem to be the most commonly recommended providers, but even after emailing them, they won’t confirm whether they offer evening/weekend sessions until after I complete the booking form.

If anyone has done the PSC online from abroad, especially in UK evening time, I’d really appreciate hearing about your experience and which provider you chose.

Lastly, is the PSC difficult ? :)

Thanks!
