You ever go to take picture and more and more people want in? I swear every family event turns into a photoshoot, even at my Dad’s funeral. I hate it but also I don’t have enough family photos😭

Far as I know there’s 3 “grown” Skippers. 2 Barbie Extra and the petite green Mohawk Fashionista. That last one I was meh about but got her bc green Mohawk, did.😂 But the 2 Extra Skippers were fire and I’m mad I didn’t get either brand new. I found this girl thrifting and was so wow’d by her face even thou her hair was jacked up. I knew she was an Extra but I didn’t look at Barbie Extras when they were out so I didn’t see that face close up until I thrifted her. I wish I had the patience to reroot bc her hair was unsalvageable to me but I need her look cute asap so braids will have to do.
I really wish they would make her grown in universe and age up Stacy to a preteen and Chelsea as a big kid and bring back Kelly as the little kid. And bring back Janet.

I didn’t know this was a thing. I only got a couple of books I can use markers in but it’s such a cool affect that I kinda like more than the front of the page

Got Barbie Basic #8 with the Mbili face sculpt. She's petite but the sculpt and the face up screamed Big Moma to me. She looks 40something to me, like one of the SO IN STYLE girls 20 years later and I love it. I had to get this Fashionista with the Milli sculpt out of storage. She seemed like a tall teenager to me. I don't have any of the SIS line or other Mbilli Barbie's from the 00s or 10s, just 2 other fashionistas and the 1959 Mbili but they're deep deep in the storage bins. But I like this pair bc I'm Black mom to a grown light skinned biracial child that towers over me. People usually don't assume we're parent and child unless we stand together long enough to show he has my whole face.
And also as a daughter that had a mother daughter photoshoot at Sears with my late mom, this felt right matchup. I don't know if I have a copy of a pic of me and my mom from that shot but I remember it being up on the wall growing up until my 20s and being embarrassed bc I had a Jerry curl back then. It was the 80s!😭

I put in for an exchange yesterday and Amazon sent it today. I haven’t even had a chance to return the 1st one yet. But it’s the same thing. He was hunched over right out the box just like the 1st one. Does anybody else have this problem?

They drop July 11th. I only buy a sheet of stamps when it cool stuff I like. I still have some Star Wars, Batman and Wonder Woman stamps I got years ago. Now I’ll have some Barbie’s. I’ll probably get more than once sheet this time.

I don’t have any of my other mtm Ken’s with me to compare but I know Mtm Barbie bodies don’t do this. Is this normal? The chest barely shifts at all but when I push it more it goes over so far I can see inside the chest. Right out the box he was hunched forward with the back popping out but it snapped in place. Should I return for a replacement?

Bought these yesterday and forgot to check it off as a gift. So I was ready for the boxes to be smashed or have a label on the front like always until I learn about the gift trick. Don’t know why they respect gifts more than other orders but oh well. But they both came together in a box, in good shape. I’m not an inbox collector anymore but I don’t unbox immediately and having the box f’d up just ruins that Christmas morning feeling. My life is a mess and I need take as much joy from the small things as I can.

I can’t wait to play with the Ken’s hair.😁
