In the vision we saw in chapter 2410, the Gate to the Void was opened, presumably by The Nine.
The Forgotten God escaped the Void and became free, then had his consciousness sealed by the Nightmare Spell.
>A laughter resounded from beneath the cracked mask as Weaver finally reached their destination — the very heart of the Shadow Realm, and the unspeakable horror that was hidden there.
>The Void Gate.
>…The Void Gate stood wide open, now. - Chapter 2410
And it's confirmed that he escaped 2 chapters later:
>Why had existence not been destroyed when the Forgotten God was freed?
>It was because after escaping the Void, he had been imprisoned somewhere else. He had been imprisoned in an endless nightmare. - Chapter 2412
His body is the Dream Realm, just like how the 6 Divine Realms are the bodies of the other Gods. We saw the Dream Realm getting created after he escaped the Void in one of the visions Cassie had in volume 11:
>The gods were dead.
>Their corpses drifted forlornly, shedding rivers of golden ichor that glistened like stars in the void. Inside the holy expanse of the Divine Realms, the last vestiges of those born of the Flame struggled to survive in the absence of divinity.
>A vile cancer nestled among the mortal realms that had been devastated by the war. It had already consumed many of them, forming a mass of profane darkness in the heart of existence. That darkness extended its tendrils to the mortal worlds around it, slowly absorbing them into itself.
>The few unfortunate souls who still survived there were doomed to experience a gruesome and appalling fate.
>That... was the birth of the Dream Realm. - Chapter 2832
His consciousness, meanwhile, got sealed into the 7th Nightmare seed that's at the peak of the Tomb of Ariel:
>They had never expected to find it here. They had not even considered the possibility, let alone set it as their goal.
>The Seventh Nightmare...
>Was the Nightmare.
>The Nightmare of the Forgotten God, in which he was imprisoned. His consciousness was, at least. - Chapter 2908
So, the Forgotten God no longer has anything to do with the Void. There was a misconception from Sunny back in the Third Nightmare when he first learned about the existence of the 7th God; he believed that the Forgotten God was still slumbering in the Void, which threw some people off.
I made this post because I've seen too many people saying that either Sunny or Nephis will get trapped in the Void when they fight the Forgotten God, or that Nephis is wrong for wanting to mess with the Void in order to kill the Forgotten God.
(The other one came after)

Cosplay by angelgpt on tiktok ‼️ Go support her; she already cosplayed Nephis, Cassie, and Jet!
And Ananke 😭😭
The weird thing is... I don't think he'll die.
Look at this piece of juicy information from the recent chapters:
>Jet crossed the realm boundary and appeared in the waking world.
>She appeared in NQSC.
>And when she did, Cassie's powers reached the great city, as well. 2994
Jet had to go to NQSC so that Cassie's powers could reach it...
How are her powers going to reach the Shadow Realm? Eurys is there, and he knows Asterion's name. Remember, if anyone—even other Supremes—know Asterion's name, he cannot die.
>For as long as the idea of Asterion dwelled in human minds, he could not be destroyed. Therefore, to kill him, all one had to do was kill everyone who carried the knowledge of the Dreamspawn in their minds.
>Therein lay the problem, though.
>Anvil and Ki Song had been the carriers of the knowledge about Asterion, as well. So, the only way for them to kill him was to kill themselves first, or at least find a way to erase all information about him from their own minds. 2732.
I think Asterion is going to survive because Eurys will remember him even if Cassie wipes everyone's minds of his name—Sunny, Nephis, and Mordret—including her own.
What he will do after being defeated remains to be seen, though. Will he decide to go the Fifth Nightmare? After all, the entire reason he's trying to eat humanity for Apotheosis is because it's easier than the Fifth Nightmare. He could decide to challenge it after he realizes he can't do it naturally.
Kai is able to outrun a Cursed Devil...
Ignoring the world of difference that should be between the physical might of a Transcendent human and a Cursed Devil, why is it not capable of just freezing him in space with Will?
We have had two instances of that happen. The first one is from the greatest Cursed of all time, Abjuration:
>The world that had let the Cursed Demon pass so swiftly resisted her movement, sapping her momentum and slowing her down. If not for the armor of the Will Nephis had forged for herself, she might not have been able to move at all. 2438
Nephis, a Supreme Titan with the strongest Domain, nearly got denied the right to move by Abjuration.
Also, Asterion, who had no Domain at the moment, was also able to do the same to Cassie:
>The full force of his Will descended upon her, then, making it seem like she had to run for a full minute to move forward just a single meter.
>Asterion, however, caught up with her without much trouble despite walking at a leisurely pace. 2726.
Let me repeat, Asterion, with no Domain, was able to slow down Cassie to the point that he was able to catch up to her by just walking.
Why on earth is Kai able to take even a single step away from a Cursed Devil, when we saw that a Cursed Demon was able to use Will like that?
Was Abjuration just that much better than all the other Cursed, or are they just bums? I think we're going to have to disregard all the things we saw him do if we need to take any of them seriously.💔
I hate to do this, but even that fraud, Condemnation, was able to do this. In fact, Condemnation even denied Sunny the right to use Shadow Step with his Will:
>Both Nephis and the Lord of Shadows halted, realizing almost at the same time that the edge of the ancient ruins… was somehow getting further away. No matter how fast they ran, the distance between them and the overgrown wall did not diminish. 1682
And:
>"That spatial Ability of yours… can you escape?"
>He shook his head.
>"Not this time." 1683
Will is such a cool concept, now if only it was kept consistent...
Why aren't more important characters like Rain, Effie, or Yutra on there instead?
This is why everyone needs to take my theories seriously 😼 I called Asterion wanting to consume all of humanity 20 chapters before he revealed it.😂‼️

Everything we learned from Asterion had been foreshadowed since the beginning of the story.
Why the Spell can do Apotheosis.
Since the beginning, we've known that when you conquer a Nightmare and it's time to Ascend, it would be done inside the Spell. Take note of the first sentence.
>Once again, Sunny found himself in the endless space between dream and reality. All around him, there was nothing but a boundless black void, which was illuminated by a myriad of bright stars. Between those stars, countless strings of silver light were woven into a beautiful and inconceivably complex pattern.
>Once again, he felt as though he had glimpsed the inner workings of the Spell. Was it just an illusion, or was he able to see more now? It was almost as if his eyes were now able to discern a hint of meaning behind the unimaginable, titanic brilliance of the ethereal weave.
>…He had the eyes of Weaver now, after all. - Chapter 351
It was weird that Sunny was taken to inside the Spell every time it was time to Ascend, but we now know why the Spell was made like that; it was so the Spell could be capable of creating new Spirits.
The Dreamspawn Exception.
This one was foreshadowed too. It's literally inside the description of the Attribute.
>[Dreamspawn] Attribute Description: "You are born of two worlds, belonging to both, but welcomed in neither. Your soul exists on the edge between nightmare and reality." - Chapter 353
The Spell replicates the way Dreamspawns' souls exist in the edge between nightmare and reality so that people can attain Apotheosis safely after conquering the Fifth Nightmare.
This is further proof that the Nightmare Spell itself exists in that space:
>However, something else had been born at the same time.
>It had been born in the hidden space between the realms, between dream and reality, woven out of Strings of Fate. Its vast, unfathomable tapestry glistened with silver light in the darkness, tethered to the souls of fallen deities it had consumed.
>It was the Nightmare Spell. - Chapter 2832
This is why I love Shadow Slave so much. It's always a blast to reread major sections after there are new revelations and find foreshadowing.
