Who Did Everyone Think The Killer Was In Season 1 As It Was First Airing?

Just what the title says lol, I didn't watch or really know anything about the show when it first came out so I'm curious to hear who everyone thought it was

A Few Thoughts & Questions From A First Time Viewer :)

I started watching the show yesterday and I'm on episode 3 rn! I've really been enjoying the teen drama aspects but I did get freaked out by the sudden jump-cuts to the face of Jason's corpse. (I made a post asking about this and you all were really helpful!)

I have one last question about the corpse thing and just a few random observations because why not lol

My question is: Is this AI overview correct in saying that the jump cuts to the corpse stop after the first 2 episodes? Asking because I don't really trust it to be correct lol so I thought I'd ask real people haha.

And a few of my random observations:

  • Does anyone else get a bit of an incestuous vibe from Jason & Cheryl's relationship? Like, I have a younger brother and I'd never be drinking from the same milkshake while staring into his eyes lmaooo or holding hands while taking an oddly romantic walk by the river
  • I kinda wish that Kevin would have a bit more depth than just the gay best friend. He honestly feels like a bit of a stereotype imo...
  • Also why do Betty and Veronica have such good chemistry? Like, as of episode 3 they have the best chemistry out of any of the 'actual' couples lmao.

Anyways any answers would be great about the Jason question lol

Does the show get scarier?

I just started watching (I'm 3 mins into episode 2) and I'm getting lowkey freaked out by how Jason's body looks 😭😬. I'm such a wuss when it comes to these things so idk if I can keep watching if it gets scarier or more disturbing than this.

Does the show get scarier and more disturbing (or are there more icky things like Jason's body)? Or does it stay about the same throughout?

Does anyone else feel that TGWDLM:R is less funny than the original?

I just purchased and watched the new version of TGWDLM the other day and I was honestly a little disappointed.

I think my main issue is that it kinda feels less funny than the og. It made me realise that a lot of the jokes rely very heavily on a certain kind of delivery. I think they must have made the conscious decision to change the delivery so it feels different to the go but it actually just makes everything less funny. I also feel like the audience wasn't as in to it as they were in the 2018 version and they aren't laughing or whooping nearly as much.

A good example of this is Emma's Shuttt the fuck upppp line which she sung in the original (making it really funny and iconic) but here she just says it in a slightly annoyed voice. There are lots of other times this sort of thing happens but that was the main one I could think of off the top of my head.

I also feel like the editing and cinematography was a bit dodgy at points too. The camera moves in really odd and disorientating ways and the editing sometimes cuts right before a joke (making it way less funny). There's this really weird moment when Emma comes out after being injured in the plane crash where there is this super high contrast red filter that is there just for one shot and I honestly couldn't tell if that was a choice or something went wrong with the footage.

Anyway maybe I'm nitpicking and I overall still enjoyed it but I can't help but feel that the original was way funnier? I also wouldn't be as disappointed if I didn't spend money on it.

I don't want people to think I'm hating on Starkid lol because I'm really not I'm just a bit sad that the thing I have been looking forward to for over a year now and spent over $60 between the kickstarter, the digital ticket and the proshot wasn't as good as I was hoping.
