I saw someone here drew their own take on apemen Yi so that inspired me to do my own

It’s inevitable to get lost in every metroidvania game

But on the condition that it needs to be unhinged, insane or cursed. Nothing illegal or harmful or anything that’ll violates the rules here.

Thankfully their designs are relatively simple but some will look more off than the others

This was a lot of fun to do. Originally this was supposed to be for Feng Friday but I missed it.

For the designs, Nuwa being originally crippled then having her male counterpart being athletic and not be able to sit still is funny to me. I don’t know how to properly integrate her red dress so I settled with random bullshit go until something sticks to me. Also took some inspiration from their anniversary outfits. He’s only slightly shorter than his sister, just tall enough to protect her.

For Fuxi, I gave her something that a business woman would wear, taking inspiration from Eigong. I’m still unsure whether the lotus feet is caused by foot binding or a deformity due to incest but I’m going to assume the latter. She does have a platform though I like to think she’s too stubborn to use it. She’s taller to give a more motherly appearance showing how her brother is very codependent on her.

For their lore and personality, I dunno. I didn’t think I’d get this far.

I read a fanfiction about these two and that was enough to convince me

Just two bros chilling in the tub, I’ve seen every crack ship here possible so I wanted to toss mine into the pile

I just beat the game and wanted to contribute to the fandom, I’ll draw something proper eventually. Have this for the time being.
